    faster !!

I agree with other members. I have a 30mph brompton. I start faster than any car and cyclist. I have also been stopped MANY times by cops, but it was NEVER because of the bike legality. It was when I cross red light or cycle through pedestrian road. I looks like a bike, so it must be a bike...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Daaaamn, is it dead or not this rim? I'm about to buy a small methane torch to bent it back to life!!! I'm not sure if I have patience or amplitude, but I think I don't have much choice as my brompton is very custom and wear most parts much faster than normal... :/ At least I know it's kinda...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

That is damn annoying... It's on my rear wheel motor and it has a lot of torque. Enough to climb any slope and start faster than any car on the road ;) It did wear on the chain side, as you said, good insight! For the koolbrake pad I have no idea how is it against rim. Bacause I'm not using...

How to make a rack for battery

Thanks dave. What do you use to seal the holes? I usually use tape but it doesn't work very well

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Thanks for the idea dave. Can I use this blowtorch? http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=270857198822&index=2&nav=SEARCH&nid=17499316292 And wouldn't I have a risk of rim failure with aluminium rim? It's already quite worn out

    Magicshine MJ-818 3W rear light

Yes but these light seem to have a strong focused light. But is probably not so good at angle. It's also a part that get easily stolen so I don't want to invest more than 20-25gbp on it. Will wait a bit on ebay until I have one

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Yes but for my motor I think I need strong rim.... Anyway now I have to do some magic to find these CR18 349mm 36H rim...

How to make a rack for battery

Nice one dave! Really like the way you manage to create clean part out of nothing!!! Why do you need the iron on the bolt holes? Is it to make holes on the bag?

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

I've already worn out few brake pads. I also lost few ones due to loose bolt. So my pads are quite new now, as I changed them recently. I can still brake as usual, except I hear a "TAP TAP TAP TAP" louder when I brake... and when I cycle faster! I'm quite annoyed because the rim is less...

    Magicshine MJ-818 3W rear light

yeah £21 is quite a good price! I'm going to put the MJ818 as a keyword on ebay, hoping to have it in auction for cheaper price later :) Thanks :) ps: I already have all the light wiring set on my brompton. So I don't really need a splitter. But it's always good to have it as I won't have to...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

:( :( :( But how it happened? I hammered a few times before so maybe that's why it worned out. Anything I can do to save the rim????

    Magicshine MJ-818 3W rear light

Agree that these MJ-880 are a bit of a waste of money... as it's a strong focus so not really useful. I like the idea of the double single T6 CREE but I'll still keep my MJ-880 as I paid quite a lot for it. And also because they have the strong benefit of being compact. I added so many gadget...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

My motor rim is getting really BAD!! I didn't really try to fix it initially, but the rim bent once more and now it looks like this: The protuberance is getting so big it kept rubbing against my brake. Here a picture from far: It's so big I don't think turning the spoke nipples would...

    Magicshine MJ-818 3W rear light

I have the MJ-880 that was supposed to be working on 8.4V too, but I plugged it to my 12V converter and it works fine :) Apart that it suck a hell a lot of battery!! between 20-30W!! lool It's very light, but way too focus, so not that useful apart from blinding cars and cyclist around me :p

    Magicshine MJ-818 3W rear light

I'm interested in this set up. My rear led light from Hobbyking are really nice and shiny but not powerful enough (for me). Just a couple of question: - Are you wiring it to a 12V battery? (that's my plan) - And is blinking automatically? I want to be seen from... FAR! ps: this one...

    Update on LifeP04 batteries

Also, I like lifepo4 but they are temperature sensitive. If you charge them at 0C or lower, you'll experience permanent capacity loss. That was a quite annoying point for me with my A123 during winter.

    Update on LifeP04 batteries

Agree that these A123 are amazing and have consistently received positive review... even from recycled ones :) (the ones I purchased from Victpower) Are you selling A123 too? Because if I remember it correctly, not all Lifepo4 were born equal. Lifepo4 from HobbyKing for example don't have the...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Also I probably need a new rear mudguard as this one is quite damaged... And probably it's time for me to solder the controller brake wire... And last thing, that is to be worried a bit, is that now the central hinge doesn't fold easily. It's maybe a bit bent due to the bag weight...? Not sure...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Ok ok I'll clean the bike... but there is a LOT of work. Need to clean the chain with degreasing spray, something to remove the rust and dust, then re-lube it. Rear brakes suffer severe tear and need to be changed... I'm thinking of a new chainset... Easywheels need to be replaced as it gets...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

I see what you mean... but that's the result of 1 year of non maintenance... Was wondering... if I spend 30 mn a week... after 52 weeks it's 60 hours spent on cleaning the bike! Wouldn't that be better... to just buy a new chainset every year? And brake have to be replaced anyway!
