    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Thanks NRJ. Going to put a bit of engine oil then. Dave, it's literraly the rim that is bent. I don't think adjusting the rim would solve that. I may bring it to a bike shop but I usually don't like doing that. I've never had any quote less than £100 even for small jobs

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

And here the wheel seems a bit bent... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2y_dej9XVfc&feature=youtu.be I was thinking of using a hammer to put back the wheel in place... not sure if it's a good idea. This bike really made quick a long journey with me: through cold, snow, rain, jump...

    e-Brompton after thousand of miles

Hello there, Didn't put news since a while, but I have to because I've done so many miles since... last years. I have minimum 3000 miles done with this little Brompton. And yeah... it seems that it starts to get old... lol First of all, look at my new "hand" windshield: As you...

    Heated gloves

Would be interesting to see such a project. Wouldn't you risk to burn your fingers if done incorrectly?

    International travelling with ebike

Brought my brompton to France, travelled via eurostar with the brompton inside luggage. No issues whatsoever with customs. Not even sure they noticed it's a 1320Wh battery!! Here's my little love in Paris: Quite happy when it landed. But it's DAMN HEAVY AT 30KG. I need to do something. I...

    Magicshine battery dying quickly

Nothing's better than using a DC-DC from the main battery. No more hassle to change the batteries, no more worries about batteries drying out.

    New build.

Really nice spec: 25mph, 25miles distance at 21kg! That's how I envision selling ebike to mass market consumer. Not these ridiculous slow, heavy and low distance bikes we find on most shop now! I may try the cute100 later, I really only heard good things about this motor, congratulation :) I...

    Electric Brompton going strong

Maybe jeremy. Not completely convinced though. In both case, the front bag wasn't wobbling at all, but then, I did a bigger jump and BOOM, the entire bag was wobbling because of the snapped bolt. Upon verification, the bolt that is still maintening the carrier is still bolted and I need a...

    New build.

Agree woth d8veh, that looks like a really nice build. What are the final specs? - price - weight including battery - speed, distance and wh/km? And also, i gave up the lipo for now because of the hassle to charge them. Too many connection disconnection to charge them. I created a bulk...

    Electric Brompton going strong

After inspection, I think that none of my bolts came loose on both of my brompton. It was a plain metal failure due to vibration, weight and cold. You have about half my weight at 7kg, so it may be ok. But for extra security, a little additional something to re-enforce shouldn't harm. Think of...

    I had an accident... AGAIN!!!!

I'm mad lol. Here's the extend of damage on the rear rack: Everything seems broken. Not sure if it can be fixed when it's broken like... everywhere!

Does it work when it's so cold the usual london rain become ice, and the strong wind just pierce through multiple layer of windproof gloves? If so, I'd be interested on the link for a quick purchase lol

    What's your protection against cold?

That thing seems nice. I tried many "windproof" gloves, included 2 gloves on top of the other and motorbike winter gloves... But my fingers still become blue with the strong cold wind at 0C. Maybe this thing could be the right solution? Going to email them to see if they do it for brompton...

    What's your protection against cold?

Hello there, It's 0C in London, it's so cold I feel like I'm going to die in the road. The wind on my face is killing me. I decided to swap to a full face helmet in order to protect myself against the cold: LS2 FF351.1 Single Mono Motorcycle Helmet: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike Tried...

    I had an accident... AGAIN!!!!

Just a small update on the situation. We exchanged over email. The driver told me he is willing to repay the rear rack but he does not endorse any responsability on the accident. Apparently I wasn't visible enough. I told him that weather it was intentional or not, he still managed to run over...

    I had an accident... AGAIN!!!!

What I mean was that amongst all accident I had, I've NEVER EVER harmed anyone from my mistake. For the wheelie case, the only on the ground was me. No one else. Since my accident with the pedestrian I'm much more careful about them and try to be closer to the road.. but guess what? When you're...
