If you have the C963 you could change to 9 PAS levels, see here -> then you could have your 3 Modes, each with 3 power settings.

On the c963 you presently have set 3 modes, Eco (1), one MTB (2), one Commuting (3). Have you in each mode 3 PAS levels?

Hi Ken, with knees and hip done i`d be looking at a cadence based ebike, reason being you dont have to put pressure on the pedals as you do with the more common torque based variety. I`m sure Woosh on here could suggest some of their models.
