    S810 controller settings

If it's the same as the S830, P12 is the parameter that adjusts the start up power. Try setting it to a lower value. Do you have the manual for the settings? How have you set the PAS and throttle so far?

General Advice for Bike Choice When Doing a Conversion

This advice is for making an electric bike for general transport, like commuting, shopping, leisure rides, etc. I was going to post it in the thread about Aldi bikes, but I thought it might be better on its own. You can convert just about any bike if you have the resources and the...

Aldi have some decent bikes in that would make for good conversions

Those bikes are OK for what they are, but not very good for conversion. If you want to convert something, older bikes are better.

File these silly angles off my dropout? How risky is it lol

Make your own tie bar out of a bit of scrap steel strip. All you need is a piece with a hole in each end. I nearly always make my own rather than use the ones that come with the torque arm. The steel doesn't have to be anything special. It's only the piece that goes on the axle that has to be...

    Help! Buying online help

Like the owner of the other one in post #42, you'll be trying to sell it on Ebay after a month. IIRC, we already explained why earlier in the thread. P.S. I hope they're not cable brakes. Even if they're hydraulics, it's going to be fun seeing how much glow you can get out of the discs when you...

    S810 controller settings

Grab the wheel and turn it in each direction. It should be totally free in the forward direction, and when you turn it backwards, you should feel the gears inside the motor turning. If it's free in both directions, your clutch is stuck, but if you can feel the gears, your controller is turning...

    Batribike replacement battery

Show a picture of your actual bike, as there are differnt versions. In particular, show the control panel and the battery. In principle, you can use any battery you want of the same voltage. There are hundreds of low cost options. You can get your battery re-celled, but that's relatively...

Having a front hub motor and a rear hub motor on the same bike ?

Strictly speeaking, no because the law refers to "a motor", not "motors". You might get away with it if there were some sort of isolation device that would conclusively prevent both motors from working at the same time. Also, you could probably get away with it if you were using two motor with a...

    S810 controller settings

Switch off, connect the wires, switch on and wait for the wheel to start turning slowly on its own. Switch off, disconnect the wires and leave them disconnected. Each time you do the procedure, it should swap direction. For some controllers you need to kickstart the self-learning with the throttle.

Having a front hub motor and a rear hub motor on the same bike ?

The simulator is just a mathematical model based on how a few motors behave. The XF07 predictions won't be accurate. Here's what I found out from MXUS and my own trials: They make different versions of the motor for different markets. Mine was nice and quiet and not particularly powerful. The...

    Hello

The 250w is a label, not a measure of performance. You can get very powerful 250w systems and very weak ones. For climbing hills, you need torque, not power, though the more power you have, the faster you can climb. A tiny weak motor in a tiny wheel can get a very heavy rider up steep hills...

Why don't you flip it so that it's clear of the frame?

Having a front hub motor and a rear hub motor on the same bike ?

It'll be fine if it's just torque you want. You might get a couple of MPH more from the front motor if you set the speed unlimited. Don't expect to ride everywhere at 20 mph. The Dillenger motor will be on its own after 15 mph, so you'll only get 20 mph downhill, and maybe 18mph on the flat, but...

Rear axle nut external size on Bafang BFSWX02?

You don't take the wheel off to fix a puncture. Just pull the tyre off one side, extract the tube, patch it, remove whatever punctured it and reassemble. Better still, get a Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyre and never worry about punctures again. Don't waste your time with slime. It's very hit and...

    S810 controller settings

It's going backwards. You need to do the self-learning procedure. After you have the right direction, you must disconnect the self-learning wires.

Furo X or Gron E Cycle

All standard Chinese stuff. Even if you can't get the exact versions, there are plenty of alternative parts that would work. Of course all that means nothing if you don't have the knowledge or ability to do any repairs, so the next important question is who will fix it when it goes wrong?

Furo X or Gron E Cycle

Nearly all electric bikes have those things. It's whether they're standard or bespoke that matters. The dual hall sensor bit smells of standard Chinese stuff, but I couldn't say without seeing it.
