I may be stating the obvious but if you`re going to get into such a state about this why can`t you just remove the dongle when doing such an event and then replace after?

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

A lot of waffle about the fear of projected profit margins falling. Why dont you dealers get your customers to sign a disclaimer on your sales invoice to cover your a$$es seeing you`re so worried??

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

..and what does our local Assemblys have to say on this, ie the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland regional Assemblys? Have they any say at all or is it all taken from Westminster? Or Strasbourg!!

    Panda Bikes any advice!

Ah, yes, Panda Leisure! Bought my first e-bike off them, looks very similar to the present spec. Mine came with the 48v 10aH battery. Very helpful people, couldn`t fault the service at all. Typical low end Chinese bike that you have to treat gently. Decent performance and ideal for someone...

Here is my experience with BMS Battery

shouldn't`t be a disaster, i`ve received a FedEx bill for £27 for a BBS02 kit plus battery that came from BTN, China.

    You got a moped!

A couple of things at first glance, the rear wheel hub looks motorbike-ish, the battery bag says `tank`, also where there`s no rear derailleurs it begins to loose that standard bike look. Having said that i wouldn`t get too hung up on what people think!

    Mudguards

It might be a `cool fender` but will that help when the muck and cruds lashing off the front wheel? Off Road or Public Highway? I went for these full-length items, light, strong and reasonably cheap. http://www.bikeit.co.uk/vavert-50mm-fixed-mtb-mudguard-set.html

Bafang wins at the 24 hour E-Bike race at the Nurburgring

Apparently Bafang used their Max Mid Drive System for this. Seems to be a torque sensing 36v 250-350W item with 80nM torque - looks interesting. Anyone with any experience of this motor?

air suspension just seen very "cheap"

Giant bike wheels, great if you live in France and carry strings of garlic and croissants around with you, reminds me of old grandmothers bicycles with that wicker front pannier :)

    Bafang central motor kit

Are you on a standard bike chain? With all this torque, weight etc, ordinary bicycle drive components look a bit light to me. You just have to look at that flimsy quicklink for a start.

    Bafang central motor kit

@ kinninvie, just out of curiosity what gearing do you have? Mine is the standard BBS02 46T front ring and a 14T-34T on the back. So far it seems to deal with hills ok.

    Bafang central motor kit

With the trailer i would definitely go for the 750w item. You have up to nine levels of `assist` that you can select to your taste when tackling a hill.

    Kudos Tornado 'Eats Hills'

Hah! I think my BBS02 would eat cliff faces tbh, amazing torque!! Also have a 250w rear hub bike, 48v 11aH, difference between the two is night and day.
