    Leaving the EU

there isn't much anyone can do. Just look back at the episode of Abu Hamza the Hook. His family got given a 5-bed house in London worth more than 1 million so he'll agree to go quietly. Until the various wars giving rise to the current masses of refugees stop, there will be plenty to abuse the...

    Leaving the EU

if you are in goverment, your hands are mostly tied by various treaties and international conventions that previous goverments have signed and adopted. For example, the French goverment can easily let the migrants invade the channel tunnel, our government will have no choice but put them in jail...

    Leaving the EU

Merkel is not insane. We have all signed up to the Geneva 1951 Conventions, accepting the rights of migrants and refugees and nobody is going to throw human beings back into the sea.

    Repair motor hall sensor

you can get honeywell hall sensors from CPC farnell. You have to check the type of your current hall sensor. I think you need bipolar latch in TO-92 case. http://cpc.farnell.com/honeywell-s-c/ss461a/hall-effect-sensor/dp/SN35866

Looking for a good hill climber..?

The advantages of the Oxydrive are: lower weight, stealthy, no messing with gear change. Otherwise, the BBS02 750W is about twice as powerful as the Oxydrive on hills.

    Long Distance

OK, silly is me. Factors like suspension, type and width of tyres are much more important than the difference in diameter between 26" and 28", I don't think that'll make 10% difference in range.

    Long Distance

that's silly. Air resistance is the biggest factor, an order of magnitude (10x) higher than rolling resistance. Air resistance is proportional to speed x speed x speed (speed power 3).

    Long Distance

I reckon a range of 40-45 miles with a 15AH battery is more likely to have a pleasant ride. You have speed, headwind, cold weather and gradient all affecting range.

    Overwhelmed

you'd better make up your mind soon. The Pound has lost 6% since the new year meaning price rise is imminent. As soon as the weather starts to warm up, prices will have to go up.

    is this possible

Ann, it's very easy to turn off the pedal assist, 5 minutes. You only have to remove the magnetic disc that is attached to the bottom bracket. You can buy a small folder like the Viking for £350, it does not go fast or far but it is easy to chuck in the back of your car.

    is this possible

Ann, the common 26in hub kits have ISO 559 rims. You have ISO 590 rims, you will need the motor relaced into a rim like this one: http://www.amazon.com/SunRingle-CR-18-36-hole-Polished-fits/dp/B001CK0MAU Alternatively, buy a crank drive kit.

    is this possible

the OP has a 650A wheel. I did warn her that not many suppliers have that size. Simplest solution may be to get a 650B kit and adjust the rim brakes to fit.

    'Dead' Sirocco CDL

they don't all die at the same time. The most expensive item is the LCD then the controller. The cable is the cheapest. Let's hope it's just a damaged cable. You can always detach the LCD and/or the controller and send it/them in for testing, it'll save you having to advance the cash.
