    New stealthy freedom e-bike brompton.

The one from the Gadget show is a nano-brompton. This one is I think smaller. Also, for the 60 miles ranges I think you'll need peddle assistance. This distance wouldn't be reachable on full throttle.

Help - My pedelec is not working

Thanks d8veh. I'll wait tomorrow to see what Conhismotor seller tell me. Maybe take a better picture at work tomorrow. I can't do anything better with my old phone. For soldering, I'll try to practice a bit on something before. Just to make sure I don't do anything wrong. I think I just have to...

    New stealthy freedom e-bike brompton.

Specs seem good. Exept the speed. Do you know if it's possible to increase the speed to 35-45km/h?

Help - My pedelec is not working

It's not very clear (actually it's not clear at all), but there is 4 wires. In the middle there is a black wire. That's why I don't know where should the green one be solded. Why shouldn't I solder? It shouldn't be too hard? I just purchased that on ebay: Variable Temperature Soldering Station...

Help - My pedelec is not working

I know. I've got my previous phone stolen so I can only do crappy pictures with my actual phone.. Waiting for the iphone 5.. For the green wire, I don't know how to solder, but I did it when I was in high school. Maybe I can still do it now. Problem is that I don't know where the green wire...

Help - My pedelec is not working

Today I hit something with my speed controller and it was completely detached from the bike: Here is how I fix it back. But now, the pedelec is only at the lowest speed, I'm litterally running at 10km/H :( I tried to see what happened inside: It seems that the green cable has...

New Cube electric bikes from ChainReactionCycles

Nice bike. Not that stealthy though, it's easy to wonder why the tube below the seat is so big. And that's also where the battery is usually placed.

    Cycle insurance benchmark

Flecc & Eddio, I'm using 2 locks now for my bike and I keep the battery in my bag when I lock it. But what a pain... I would really prefer to have only 1 lock and not to take all these precautions. Anyway, I may still subscribe to an insurance if parts are insured and claim procedure is not too...

    Cycle insurance benchmark

The problem with electric bike is also the battery. Because thieves can also unmount the battery with some screwdriver.. But main problem is not that: No lock can't be unbeaten by a good thief. Eddieo, do you live in a big city? And if so, do you park your bike in the street? I believe risk...

    Cycle insurance benchmark

Guys, I live in London and almost all cyclists I know have already been stolen. And my bike front wheel was also stolen when I lived in Paris. It's very common in big city, and I'd say it's a lucrative business for many thieves. If you live in a big city, and if you have to park your bike...

AVE X Speed Bosch powered (semi) folder

For 2K, why not just a nano-brompton? It can easily be on a car and rides well.

    Cycle insurance benchmark

Agree, but I live in a shared flat and I don't have household policy. So for now the best is a cycle insurance. Maybe it can help others too.

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

but for £500, wouldn't that be better to purchase a second hand bike and 1000W motor, and get a new battery?

350 watt 36 volt crank drive

Ok thanks for the explaination Flecc. As long as it goes fast and is not too heavy, hub motor (it's direct drive I suppose?) is fine for me.

350 watt 36 volt crank drive

Sorry for my newbiness but what's so special about the crank drive? Isn't the standard kit from Hong kong as good? (or better?)
