Ramletta from Woosh bikes uses a cadence sensor with five PAS levels , also has a fully functioning throttle up to 15.5mph. The cadence sensor is a simple wired hall sensor with a magnetic disc or may be an all in one PAS unit , spares wise Woosh will keep them for many many years.

Mechanically yes no differen to any push bike. Electrically also yes as long as no proprietary parts/comms are used. We have helped many folks get old or broken ebikes working at a small cost for buying parts. On the electrical side one needs to be able to wield a soldering iron.

That's good to know it sorted your issue. I have had a 12 pole disc not work well before, but a 10 pole worked fine . I now only use 10 poles all the time.

It's not cadence sensor' s that the issue , it is down to the controller programmimg and system used. A lot of controllers use speed control which is crappy, no matter which pas level you are in they give max current all the time until you hit the cut off speed. It means you get a hard push in...
