    the way the throttle works is programmed into the controller. You can't change this.

    a crank drive is good at any speed, on any hill because you can select the right gear. Have you tried the Cube? as e-bike goes, it's a proper job.

    I have difficulty to see why the designer went for a heavy rear DD motor while keeping the front so much lighter. Wouldn't it be better to balance the rear weight with a 2.5kg suspension fork?

    @Smart eBiker Unless you can fit it yourself, you are going to be fleeced to get it fitted. Not worth throwing that much good money after bad. Spend £50 on a good suspension seat post like the Suntour NCX.

    @Jefner what do you think of converting your old bike instead of buying a new one? The way I see it, converting an old bike would reduce the lifecycle carbon footprint by half.

    you summed it up very well, KD. I agree there is no point fitting the BPM to a 24" wheel. If there is a need for more power, then the SWX02 or your SWX08 would be more than enough.

    agreed but gravimetric energy density goes up about 10% per annum, after 3 year, it's justified to replace the old battery with a new lighter one. The cells themselves contain a tiny amount of hazardous substances, so their throwaway does not cause much environmental harm.
