Bosch made the VW emission cheating dongle.

if I understand the situation correctly, Bosch supply the ECU, programmed to what the customer wants, ie to the a set of specific 'profiles' that the customer has given them. Whilst it's normal to program how the motor should respond according to a set of parameters like speed, steering...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

if I understand Col correctly, he wants that all manufacturers refuse to supply any dealer that offers for sale or to fit a dongle. His issue is a commercial level playing field. Customers are of course free to buy their dongle on the internet.

    jOULES MICRO PRISM

I have not tried it but from the general innformation given by the company, it's a very good product with high tech NuVinci hub gear. The motor, controller and battery are all good. The bike is striking in looks, a compact bike (it does not fold) and heavy (24kgs) because of the N360 but the...

    Derestricting a Woosh Karoo

I could not go for a long ride because the test Karoo does not have mudguards and the roads were still wet. They'll fit the mudguards later, I'll be back for another go this Saturday. First impression: the torque is about 65%-70% of the Krieger's. That does not bother me much. Didn't pay much...

    Derestricting a Woosh Karoo

I don't know for sure. I am asking them for the LCD manual. The power tapered so smoothly that I hit 45kph without feeling a notch. There was no headwind on the test ride and it's easy to ride fast on the Karoo 700C semi-slick tyres. I can hit that speed on my Trek any way except don't have to...

    volts

John, all 36V batteries when fully charged show 42 Volts. Therefore, all 36V systems run at 42V and all the way down to 31V-33V when they usually cut off to protect the battery. Have you got a non standard battery?

    Derestricting a Woosh Karoo

I just took the new Karoo for a spin. It rides even better than the test bike I rode last winter. I pumped the 700C x 28 tyres to 65psi. Without power, It rides just like a quiet normal bike. Bottom bracket backspins perfectly with hardly any friction. The motor is very quiet. At traffic lights...

    mid drive with triple ?

in a crank drive like the 8-Fun BBS01, the space that was occupied by the two inner chainrings is now occupied by the gearbox. A triple chainring is going to be problematic to keep a good chainline. It's possible to fit a double chainring though.

    E-Bike Controllers Boxes

it seems to me that the S09 may be too powerful for your battery. The maximum current draw is usually twice the battery's AHs, that's 2 x 10A.

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

Perhaps the vast majority of people don't care about your issue because they buy their bike for transport and not for participating in a competitive sport?

Smart Pie 4 and NMC 24V 20Ah Battery

you can get a BCD adapter for the crank drive kits but that would push up the budget. I guess you know this already.

Smart Pie 4 and NMC 24V 20Ah Battery

You can use any 36V battery with the GSM, the bigger the better. BTW, the bike on the picture has a very small triangle because of the small frame and rear suspension. The 11.6AH round bottle is just about small enough to go in, the Oxygen downtube battery is bigger than that and won't fit...

yes, the KLS is 2kg lighter than your Bear and is a step through. It has also quick release front wheel, very easy to carry in your car. Did you ask Hatti for the possibility of swapping your bike with the new one?
