What was wrong with the original?

no, it's not April fool. The two arguments are not contradictory. In the video (I haven't seen it but I can guess), the wheels are light, the gyroscopic force of the spinning wheels, although easily felt, is not great in comparison to the inertia of the body and bike multiplied by its speed. In...

Has anyone made a bike with two motors one for torq and one for speed???

there should not be any warranty, same as if you were to import yourself. Also, if you hand over to the club your unused parts, then you would have already paid membership fees.

Has anyone made a bike with two motors one for torq and one for speed???

it's about time that one of us should stock spares - how about this idea? we ask d8veh to turn his bike shed into community e-bike village shop. Each time we buy something from China, we buy a few more bits to lower the average air freight and leave unused parts in his shed. If a member needs...

What was wrong with the original?

the bike is balanced by inertia. The gyroscope's spinning weight adds its inertia to the rider's own. The rider's (and the bike's) inertia gradually becomes stronger when the rider gains speed. My guess you could add an inverse throttle to the Jyrobike to help learners to become less dependent...

    Cheap Batteries on Ebay

the vendor is h7 engineering - wasn't h7 engineering associated with Oxygen some years back? http://www.oxygenbicycles.com/info/about-oxygen.html the battery has a curious configuration: 10S1P. So they use large cap cells without BMS?

What was wrong with the original?

I can't see the improvement from the original stabilizers that you bolt on to your kids bikes either, if anything, it's worse. Beside the extra cost, the feel of a front heavy wheel and dead heavy steering is certainly not natural if not frightening for the kids. The point is not so much to...

    Hi from Cornwall

look at a CD kit for idea. It took me a couple of hours to fit one of those. It's not the only choice, but it's still a good choice for your hills.

Woosh Sirocco CD vs Cyclotricity Stealth

it depends on you cadence, you will be amazed how much faster to can ride with a CD. Your legs get stronger. The Bear makes you lazy, it's more a motobike than a bike. The Bear easily beats cars at traffic lights but that's not necessarily a good thing.

Woosh Sirocco CD vs Cyclotricity Stealth

we are talking derestricted assist cycling right? the CD power drops much more quickly than the Big Bear between 15mph and 20mph. up to 20mph, the Big Bear pulls like a train so better than the CD. After 20mph, the Bear loses power much faster than the CD.

    Hi from Cornwall

I find thumb throttle a bit too easy to push too far, making the bike jump, twist throttle is more natural. Maybe something to do with the spring. Also, I don't have throttle on my bike, so may be not a good judge. If you have front and rear shifters, where do you put the thumb throttle? and I...

    Hi from Cornwall

I reckon most people, even those good DIYers, would accept 100% what the dealers sell them at least during the warranty period, then after that, some will give their purchase to a family member and buy a better model. Very few (less than 5%?) potential pedelecers would ever consider conversion...

Woosh Sirocco CD vs Cyclotricity Stealth

are you talking about riding on flat roads? when derestricted and on pedal assist, the power goes off quite gently when you get over 20mph but you are limited by your own cadence, so 23-24mph is about the limit. On hills, you are limited by the pulling power of the motor. The Big Bear is...

    Hi from Cornwall

those bikes are under-powered for hills. The thumb throttle is a pain, no match for twist grip ones. The 20" wheel folder has wrong gearing, you pedal a lot and not going very fast. Anyway, they feel heavy and clumsy in comparision to a normal bike.
