One can't just change the controller as a paired matching display is also needed. As I mentioned one needs to also know the motor rpm winding, the motor won't electrically run faster then it's terminal load speed unless higher voltage is applied.

Your motor will work as long as it sees approx. 43v - 54.6v, though at the lower voltage the controller may cut power due to low voltage or voltage sag. The motor will run with a 36v battery if the controller was 36v rated as well, but at a much slower speed.

The firmware is LCD held. There is some OSF programming for KT controller and displays, the guys on ES have some threads regarding them.

No, P5 is battery setting. C5 regulates current and there are 10 settings for the old firmware and 7 for the new firmware.

Only really one cell better then the P42A and that is Sam 50S if one can get them, they are 3X the price though but a 5000mah 25a cell.
