Now that it is on the order paper, and has passed the first reading, is it not the property of the house, and not its sponsors ? It is merely convention that allows the sponsor to Pull a proposal

Fingers, your naivety, continues to surprise me. Can you now definitely show me the clause, which excludes you from sacrificing your unborn in this 220 page document. ? .. Act + explanations . Slightly extreme of course but only for the purposes of emphasis. Unlike a news cycle, laws last and...

I suspect the EU will form their judgement but keep it quiet. At least Until the Scottish court has formed a judgement. What I would like is for the EU to acceed to the request, but with a proviso, that a referendum be held, with the WAB as an option and Revoke the other. I actually think the...

Flecc,..It might appear that the statement that unsigned letter was fully legal and incomformance with the undertakings etc might be premature. The Court in Scotland is examining that today.

I am the last of the generation who used all these measures. It got worse as there is a difference between an Irish Mile and the British mile, and agricultural land is RENTED by the con acre and SOLD by the British Statute Acre. Then I started off with CGS units learning such concepts as...

My concern is how the EU views this. The UK's internal shanigans defy consideration. I expect they will accept the combination of letters as legally seeking an extension. I would expect them to insert a provision into any extension. Whereas they might want a new General Election in the UK, that...

Well in this case he has complied with the Law. He are directed his creature / agent in Brussels,to do an action in a letter signed by his hand. Mind you I can agree with him that any additional delay will further damage relationships, but unsaid is that a no deal crashout will damage them...

No flecc, I don't think there is any evidence from any authoritive EU source, that it will be considered. I expect that EU lawyers will be mulling this over today and tomorrow. They have a signed letter from the PM .That must take precedence over anything else. The EU tends to use an odd...

In fairness , Grove must do that. The EU is caught in a bind. There has not been a request from the UKs to have an extension..an unsigned letter is not a request. Now the fact the UK side have fielded a modified WA , including the unscrutinised labour clauses , does provide evidence of bad faith.
