There are so many really good electric bike specialists now, there is bound to be a good one near by. Most of them now know how to fix a bike. You may have to pay a little more but for peace of mind and excellent local service and advice it must be worth it. All the best, David

We have several owners of Riese and Müller HS models who have registered them as LS mopeds, insured and fitted number plates. They ride them with a moped standard crash helmet. As far as I can ascertain, they are then legal in the U.K. All the best, David

My earlier post wasn't clear re the warranty. As long as the bike was originally supplied by one of our dealers and therefore has UK spec. We would be happy to extend the original warranty to the new owner. These bikes very rarely have any issues. All the best, David

That's correct the frames need to be specially made to accommodate the Max Drive. The specs for the housing or the housing itself to accept the drive is readily available via Bafang.
