Don't ask for a diagnostic. Just tell them the battery doesn't work so they need to sort it out under warranty. there should be absolutely no cost. You paid for that when you paid for the bike. You paid for the bike plus, its warranty and the warranty on the battery. That was the contract you...

Why does it have to be near London? If you go to poorer areas, pemises and salaries will be cheaper and you might be able to get grants to help you start up.

General question about increasing speed PAS Rockrider E-ST 500

Your photos show that there is a comms link to the battery, so your battery probably won't work with a different controller. It's the controller that fixes the maximum speed, though sometimes, if you know the secret method, you can change that parameter through the LCD in advanced settings...

    LCD S866 + Brainpower controller

One thing you can try before giving up on the controller: Press out every other magnet to convert it to a 6 magnet disc. That's worked for me a couple of times with 12 magnet discs.

    Are smelly li-ion batteries safe?

It's knackerd. I doubt that it will catch fire, but something is seriously wrong. I've had that a few times when I used to repair batteries - only with pouch cells, but I got the same smell with 18650s that I opened up to see what was inside.

Whyte Cambridge 2018 - Will this bottom bracket work with TongSheng TSDZ2?

You said it yourself. with a Bosch-type system, the amount of power you get from the motor depends on how hard you pedal, so if you want more power, you have to pedal harder. With a cadence current control system, you can either choose the amount of assistance you want and then pedal with...
