    Can I up-date my old Kalkhoff Pro-Connect ?

Not really practical Nick. As you imply, adapter plates would be necessary but I doubt they'd stand the twisting strain of pedalling force since even as standard the motor mounting bolts often need tightening from time to time. And there could be a problem of the new motor sitting too far back...

Nah that's all wrong. At 8 am the carrots could be sold out from the previous day, but later the freshly dug up root veg delivery will have arrived. My onion, carrot and swede are simmering on the stove at this very moment. .

As you saw, they are estimates. They keep making this same mistake of looking at where it's bad and presenting that as London wide. London is very big place, even my borough is one of two entirely different Covid halves and has been throughout. We don't even have an R rate in the south of...

London’s R rate now stands at a best estimate of between 0.8 and 1.1. The figure marks a marginal hike from last week, when scientists estimated that the R rate was between 0.8 and 1. The infections are very localised though, an area of perimeter boroughs on the north west being the main...

But only very temporary and not lasting. That might only happen with the second jabs completed in time, itself not proven and a target which is already being missed. All part of the ongoing shambles of guesswork and gambling. .

Trouble is they didn't implement it, they've made a cock-up of the program. The number of people who have had second jabs is about to be double the total of all the priority workers and over 80s in the country. Yet large numbers of the over 80s are yet to receive their second jab, many of them...

Probably because a nobodody doesn't exist. ;) I know, it's dreadful the way you constantly criticise some other member's posts at length. Boris would be proud of you if he knew, you'd probably get an MBE in the New Years Honours list. .

Of course, as good as it is for me and friends in my area, which is mainly what I'm personally interested in. However, when the first jab program for the 70s in many Northern areas was completed before half of Londons 80s had their first jab and only 15% of Scotland's over 80s had their first...

As I've posted before, GP surgery says don't phone, wait for the appointment. Another route I was given only offered distant and inconvenient locations and was for both jabs, but I've already had the first. And very unlike you, I do have an open mind and no political allegiance to any party...

Our vaccine program is turning out to be exactly as I said, poor. As of this moment it's 11 weeks and 6 hours since my first AZ jab and not a murmer about an appointment for the second within 12 weeks. I'm not going to jog them, I'll just wait to see how bad it gets. .

We're going in circles, that doesn't apply to the vast majority who get only a mild outcome or none at all What did the rest of the 4.38 millions who've caught it have to say about it? .

Maybe, but the natural way works ok and costs nothing. It completely stopped the far, far worse pandemic of the black death which we no longer die of. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Fastest, but not cheapest. The cheapest way is to stay calm, keep to a consistent policy and let the spread of mostly moderate to asymptomatic cases gain herd immunity. That does produce more deaths for a while, but those are overwhelmingly of the elderly or severely compromised who would be...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

On the one hand you are arguing to keep the risks in perspective. Why not continue in that vein and recognise how small the Covid risk is for most of their population? Only a very few of the Danes will catch Covid-19 and most of them will only have minimal symptoms or none at all. In view of...

It doesn't matter how few when the deaths are entirely avoidable. That's why Denmark has sensibly dropped all use of the AZ. .

It doesn't matter, it's exaggeration. Your union flag waving cheer leading is as wrong as it was with the AZ vaccine, which usage now even the UK is restricting. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I didn't say it wasn't very bad, it was. But this isn't anything to do with personal judgement, it's simply acknowledging the facts. The tests are proven to be very inaccurate with very large numbers of false positives and there is absolutely no doubt that the death rate is exaggerated. The...

It's what I in London have been saying all along, the whole testing program is a waste of time and money due to the hopelessly inaccurate tests. Nice that government is finally waking up to the blindingly obvious. All they need to do now is realise their death rates are grossly exaggerated too. .
