    Brexit, for once some facts.

Difficult for those who are constantly on the move, as I was for fifteen years. Not having a clue on the water supply with each short period move I just used fluoride toothpaste anyway. .

I'm so use to seeing the word fluoride on the tubes I thought it was all, I'm sure it must be most. I think anyone would be daft to use one without, especially in a low fluoride water area. .

Misunderstanding I think, nobody is in the pre-Fluoride generation if they use toothpaste, since they all contain all the fluoride we ever need. It's really not important to add it to water supplies, though it's a good precaution in moderation. .

Soon to be history though, since Jaguar-Landrover are going all electric in five years time. Volvo too and others, the very high reliability of electric drive and doing away with gearbox transmission and so much else that caused trouble are very appealing. Commercials too, even Renault Trucks...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm from the pre-Fluoride generation when we all had fillings galore and plenty of extractions too. The toothpastes back then were appalling, all abrasive to one degree or another. We used Eucryl which was an abrasive powder in a flat container like a shoe polish tin. The routine was wet...

Are electric bikes legal in Spain?

It's for legal reasons. Nothing in the pedelec usage regulations permits any throttle. However the pedestrian controlled vehicle regulations permits someone walking to control a powered vehicle at up to 4 mph (6kph in the EU), subject to the power cutting out if they let go. Hence the thumb...

True, but it was even cheaper back then. And with LEDs it's no longer a problem. My kitchen needed a minimum of 150 watts of tungsten but now has a 4 bulb LED array totalling 14 watts. An LED of around 3 Watts would be plenty for a landing, costing under £1.50 a year. .

The people who buy SUVs don't care about cost, as litle as 5 mpg with the civil version of the Hummer, so an e-SUV's cost won't deter them. I've owned two in the past, a little nippy town car and an open road cruiser, but found it not worth while in the end. And rental or loaned cars are a...

You'll be disappointed to learn that the electric car makers have been adding e-SUVs to their e-car ranges, plus the odd people carrier as well. Obviously they aren't going to go away. Two examples below. An SUV from Land Rover and a 7 seat people carrier from Mercedes:

Surprisingly little, under 300 kiloWatt and £50 a year at present prices. Cheaper than a broken leg or death falling down the stairs. .

Similar happened right here close to me by Biggin Hill. An executive jet hit problems and couldn't make the runway and the pilot took the risk of trying to make it over a row of houses instead of hitting the woods alongside with certain death. He didn't make it, demolishing the last two...

It really is better without. With anaesthetic means a few hours afterwards with a thick lip which can be accidentally bitten and a stiff and awkward jaw and even with some of the drilling pain after effects since anaesthetic impedes recovery. Without means a litle more pain for only a few...

I certainly don't, far better without any anaesthetic. .

Swings and roundabouts. All the opportunities would still be there and there would be other reasons to do what you did. Boredom for example can impel effort, and I'm sure this was an element in all the advances made by the idle wealthy who have been responsible for so much of our past...

A misunderstanding, there's no choice not to work. Remember what I posted about the work distribution, one of the options being a period of national service, but at work not military service. Everyone would have to do their share, but that share would be far less than the lifetime it is now. .

Don't take any notice of Jesus H Christ, it's much better in France. Hopefully you wouldn't get this there: "votre appel est très important pour nous mais vous êtes 9ème dans la file" .
