VR, your fanboy postings in regard to this person are becoming tedious. The second coming of JC himself ,would hardly have evoked similar adulation

Yes and no. 1 agreed 2 agreed 3 agreed 4 no. .. he needs to be indicted, book of evidence new trial, new judge. The current UK law is fine of 2k5, or 1 month. 5. Possibly 6. Agreed .. but if the case comes up again and he again refuses, its a new offence 7 possible and probable. 8. Hopefully...

Fingers, fingers, again and again you do the same thing... You see the surface not the volume. But first a correction. Contrary to what I stated there is an actual offence of contempt of court, and it exists in both Jurisdictions...and why would it not,? both are based on 800 years of common...

There is no offense of "contempt of court ", so there is no fixed penalty. What there is is a continuous imprisonment cycle and immediate return to the court , the next day in order to "purge the contempt"

What you are describing has actually happened a number of times in Irish courts or tribunals Where Journalists have refused to name sources and have been jailed for contempt. It almost always is resolved by the Judge vacating the order. To protect from embarrassment, Judges would normally...

Lets take the scenario from one of those cheap technothriller books I often read, when, not correcting the logic of Brexiteers.. I am referring to books in the Tom Clancy tradition. In this an American corporation starts selling very advanced weapons to the US armed forces.. smart tanks ,smart...

As I said a device with serial data reading capacity, a comparator with a specific string of data and a potential short circuit crowbar can kill any device, and remain dormant for decades

Nope.. not in the versions I read. Of course the affected companies are going to play down the significance.

I accept the point about it being the new artillery. But there is a difference between this and building a Maginot line and then putting traffic signs in German in the Ardennes saying this route suitable for Panzers. ?

My car response was both factual and to illustrate that other people might share similar viewpoints. Not virtue blagging or whatever the current term is now . If you bother to read my earlier posts, I have not ever insulted leave VOTERs for what ,in my opinion was a bad decision. I have...

.. And what if the little grain is a kill switch?. Then it goes from spying to sabotage in a microsecond. If you know microelectronics, you know that that is feasible. The USA concern, which the UK would appear to have chosen to ignore is that these rice grains, appeared in routers and internet...

Actually I am more of the 50hz school of car purchaser. Having had 6 since age 27 to now... Unfortunately two of them became insurance write-offs ..of the uneconomical to repair category ,from rear ended collisions. I I leant my lesson when I bought a TV on the HP in 1980 ,which cost 500 quid...

Funny you should look for specks of evidence.... Because that is exactly what Apple found. Tiny specks ,ADDED to circuit boards manufactured in China.(Bloomberg oct 2018)

Did you edit the following... " Idiot. You'd kill off the whole economy. You obviously know nothing about human motivation."..as appears in in some later posting You may choose to call me idealistic, but whatever else,I am not an idiot. It is extremely simplistic to assume that the current...

Despite having been a beneficiary of inheritance, not enough to hit any tax thresholds, I do think that inheritance is a bad thing. Perhaps inheritance tax should be 100% and no trusts or opt outs. Why should the offspring of somebody have a much better financial start in life than some other...

No.. you are confusing the findings of a court with evidence. .. We would occasionally have a judge say something like.. we find the evidence presented by X as compelling and we find the evidence as presented by Y to as untrustworthy. . the following taken from official documentation for the...

I still must disagree. Evidence is all the materials, assertions, documents ,whether important ,relevent true or false presented in support of a case. Like I said it is the responsibility of the court to winnow the lies from the truth, and determine which set of statements are believable. A...

I actually would agree with you on this one. But the next phase is when they find out that Farage is equally no different than the others, what then?. If hell hath no fury than a woman scorned, what then of a group who are unable to follow arguements and realise that they have been duped not once...
