    Brexit, for once some facts.

As I explained before, I remain on this thread on this site,in the hope of persuading or encouraging people , like you, of the folly of the Brexit line. Now while you may be impossible to convince, it is possible that there are plenty of viewers of this thread ,who do not post, but who actually...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I could believe that at some time in the future when tempers cool, and rationality recovers, the British will be putting up a statue to Ms Cooper , for having saved the British from their worst selves

That is stating the obvious. In a functioning party system such an action would have the person removed from the party. . N

The difference is I do like him. His address to the US House of Congress was an excercise in measured diplomacy, saying exactly what needed saying. It was a masterclass.

"We would not be allowed to leave".. em it is your own sovereign parliament which has made the decision. UK was of course allowed to leave. No one is holding them against their will. Of course this is the classical victimhood trope again. .". Mammy wont let me out to play "

I think you have got it in one .. And France knows that. In fact it is now logical to give no concession of time or space, as the PM is then required by LAW to revoke Article 50.

The indications from the EU meetings of now,are not good if one wants,as I do, an extension. It would appear that the Germans are not succeeding in convincing the French. Mrs May will need to have something to offer tomorrow. You know Robon has a point, there is no dialogue to be had with some...

The fact I do know better gives me this authority to state the obvious.. I am not confusing anything here. I will tell you a short story of three students of mine.,and showing the levels of quiet heroism that can accompany chronic illness. One case involved a student who would start the week...

From the Guardian.... I would agree with Ms Leadsom... It would be "fantastic" , that is it is the stuff of fantasy. If senior ministers in Government are still believing this, despite the EU having said on a number of occasions that the WA agreement is closed, what hope have you?. This...

Fingers, Fingers, Fingers, yet again you disappoint. Even when you might have a valid point , and might join adult discourse you fail. As a parent of a chronically ill son, I can speak with some authority. It was unwise of flecc to issue that statistic, if only because it gave you ammunition...

Or perhaps having looked into a deep abyss , a sense of realism finally dawned. However we are not yet at the endgame. Let us assume that France and Belgium actually stick to their principles and say no extension,, beyond that which was agreed, is the PM required now by law, to put her Deal on...

While PayPal office and registered HQ might be Luxembourg, the action takes place in Ireland. The company employs around 2500 in a few sites, including my town.

Agree with all your comments except one. I believe that the EU has tried to deal fairly and honourably with the UK. And is still trying to. At least both Trusk, and Merkel are still trying. Perhaps Merkel's response is more pro Ireland than Pro UK, . One could see how perturbed Junkers was at...

We pay nothing for the license fee?. Get a grip man and do a bit of research. Irish people pay an obligatory licence fee for TV receivers. It is more inclusive than the UK model ,where you can claim you don't watch BBC and claim exemption. Of course that goes to fund RTE and other Irish...
