How do i decide on a second hand value for my ebike.

Try £3,950 first and prepare to drop £150 after each week until it sells. If it does not go at £3,000, your best bet is to leave it for sale on commission at a bike shop so more people can see it.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Neil Ferguson did not say when 100k a day will be reached. It could be late September or October when the cold weather returns. I was guessing at a ceiling of 60,000 a day in the middle of the summer.

Woosh Woosh Big Bear LS - too much assistance!

If you are happy with the Sundowner then the Bear is not the right bike. the motor on the Big Bear is much bigger and nearly twice as heavy. I recommend the Big Bear to riders weighing between 17st and 25st. You can advertise your Big Bear LS on our website for free. They usually sell within a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

UK wide, covid deaths are still growing. 57% increase in the last 7 days [447 deaths, 163 more than the week before]. No sign of peaking. That's probably a reliable measure of success/failure of our government action.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the number of cases depends partially on thee availability of PCR tests. If our government makes booking more difficult because of less availability, the number of positive cases flattens or even drops. Currently, about 400,000 PCR tests a day are done. 10% are positive. I believe that the wider...

Adding a motor to a Fabric Folding bike

if the fork's dropout is 100mm, you can fit the XF07 kit with lightweight G30 10.5AH battery. The battery + controller weighs just 2kgs, the motor adds 2.8kgs, still lighter than most factory e-bikes...

Hub motor and V brakes - how long will the rim last?

Unlikely. Most of the braking is done at the front and most hub motors are at the rear. I have only ever seen one worn out rim in 11 years.

    Great UK BBS02 supplier.

it does not matter much, the components will probably be the same but Bafang has excellent reputation for quality control, in my experience, their BBSes are 100% in good working order from the box, no surprise there. At the end of the day, you are covered by the warranty with the seller, unless...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

“nobody had any idea the actual effects of [the Protocol] until we left the EU”. Kwasi Kwarteng. Obviously nobody in the leave camp noticed that the EU has a list of products that are restricted or banned to import. "Anyone who is sure that Brexit is a good idea has got a screw loose." Dom...

    Great UK BBS02 supplier.

motor companies build their motors with bought in parts very much like bike companies build their bikes with bought in parts. They do design some of the parts but over time, copies come up with minor changes. If you want to be sure, insist on seeing a picture the serial number label affixed to...

    Which mid-drive would be best?

45NM max. 36V 17A controller. Optimised for 15mph. What does that mean? that means when you ride at 15mph, the kit can pump out the maximum power. The maximum speed is 25% above the optimised speed, the power tails off above the optimised speed, you get less and less assistance. Please note that...

Where can I get a compatible replacement handlebar display for a Pendleton Somerby ebike? (King Meter 790 LED)

that does not matter much, in view that his problem is the membrane switches don't work reliably anymore. if he has 5 wires before, then his light won't work, no big loss.

    DIY Battery Calc

Not at the moment unless it's for fixing our bikes or kits. There is a worldwide shortage of Samsung and Panasonic cells which we use for our batteries. I have terrible problems with sourcing batteries for the last 6 months.
