    Brexit, for once some facts.

there are a few Citroen Ami in my town (in France). Cute little things that you can buy at Fnac or Darty for about 6,000 Euros or rent long term for 20 Euros a month (plus a substantial initial deposit). The build quality is not great, plasticky but at least it shields you from the rain and...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

BJ will go down as the worst PM in modern time and those who bankroll the tory party have decided that it's time to cut their losses and change the horse.

I see that our current government has more or less given up the propaganda that we are better out of the EU.

I think we'll be rather going for EFTA membership. Rejoining means adopting the Euro and Schengen. Too much to think about.

Dishing, centering of wheel and drop out widening

The G020 has OLD (dropout) of 138mm. Most bikes have 135mm dropout. What's the dropout on your bike? If you have disc brakes, avoid padding out the non drive side. It will affect the fitting of the caliper.

Starmer has to prove that his way is better than Johnson's way to the brexiters. What is the point of another referendum until you have got the right PM?

Help! Folding E-bike Brompton or Volt - for 10-20 mile commute

I didn't ignore your comment. I did ask Andy about that at the time you posted about the Q70 kit. Andy told me he'll check with you and I heard no more about it. I had no problem with getting the block flush fitted on my Brompton. The bolts Andy sent with your kit may be of the wrong length. I...

Hi there! Trying to fix a Joycube charger - MOSFET puzzlement!

charging a Lithium-ion battery goes through two phases: CC or constant current phase, 2A for small capacity 36V (3A or 4A for larger capacity), the charger modulates the output voltage to keep the charging current constant. it is followed by CV constant voltage phase 42V for 36V batteries. The...

The lightest conversion with smallest battery

This is my Brompton with Bosch tool battery: The battery is lockable: I suppose you can open the battery case and fit something else like 21700-5000mAH cells for more distance but then, if you make your own battery, just as well fit it inside the controller bag. The only thing is the bag is...

Hi there! Trying to fix a Joycube charger - MOSFET puzzlement!

your charger is standard 36V Lithium ion charger made by SANS Electronics. You can use another SANS charger with the same connector. They cost about £30-£40 on the net. SANS is about the best brand for this kind of products. I wouldn't be tempted to spend time and effort repairing a charger...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

we should blame the human tendency to believe that problems will somehow resolve themselves. They do but there is a time factor that people often underestimate. In the case of brexit, I fear that you and I may have died before the UK rejoins the single market. Tony Blair was on Radio 4...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am well aware of the situation since day one of 2021. I may sell a bluetooth adapter for £25 to an eu customer who may get charged 15 euros in admin. Which export business can prosper if suffering that sort of extra cost? Customs union would help but really we need to rejoin the single market.
