I was talking to a travel agent yesterday. They told me how messy it is dealing with covid pass on behalf of their customers. Israel's covid regulation is tougher than most.

UK MHRA has approved Molnupiravir, an antiviral costing about £500 a course. It will be given to those admitted in hospital. Antivirals like that will remove the need for booster jabs unless your immune system is compromised.

I would say that most of the problems can be reduced by more regulations. Supermarkets charge for plastic bags, I bring my old bag instead of grabbing another one. Same with after use, if street corners have plenty of bins, then the streets won't be so littered. If plastic is properly collected...

I think booster is important but should not be compulsory.

the bottom line is this: we have a lot more fully vaccinated people than covid cases. Vaccination is not benign but a lot better way to create an immune response than natural infection.

we wreck this planet by eating too much, not by making electric motors.

yes, I think the opposite to Joe but I agree on the point that the numbers can't be trusted. I think the ONS survey is better but still cannot be trusted. I also agree with flecc that the number of covid deaths cannot be trusted but think that the number is roughly correct, just a case of lucky...

no, he was talking about the NHS, FOI requests and our parliament. The CDC story is a side story. His point is the number of false positives. My point is the numbers can't be trusted if you move the CT to suit the government. The number of Covid deaths can't also be trusted for similar reasons...

what's the story about London's 137 bus route? about that, one key step is to generate a very substantial plasma stream in space which can't be done until we can make small fusion reactors.

Magnetic field propulsion is an accepted idea: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_propulsion For lightspeed travel, I've lifted the idea from a couple of Netflix productions. Higgs field manipulation from 'Dark', tunnelling through cosmic string from 'Another life'.

our crafts slingshot around planets and moons, a bit like sail boats use wind before they have electric motors. Higgs VEV (vacuum expectation value) can conceivably be mediated (see Yukawa couplings).

electric propulsion uses electromagnetic force, no material in the normal sense is ejected. You create a field that interacts with a similar field outside the spaceship, like your solenoid creates a magnetic field that interacts with the magnetic field of a permanent magnet. For example you...

rockets currently work on Newton's third law of motion and we know the limitation of that. Spaceships won't work like that in the future. Firstly, it can't land on earth and take off again. It will have electric propulsion, based on our deeper understanding of particle physics. Just think of the...

the indication I trust is the number of patients currently in hospital for covid treatment. (Currently 9,538) that number is highest since March, so not peaked, the opposite. Total hospitalisations so far: > 576,000 patients treated. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/healthcare

I don't trust the daily number of new cases. Government manipulates the PCR test cycle threshold number, labs have low standard etc. quote: You asked: I would like to know the Ct (Cycle Threshold) being used for PCR testing of Sars Covid at the moment and in the past. Trust response: Please...
