I very much agree. Even if the 2016 referendum result is being regarded as binding, I do not beleive it said "and we must be out within two years regardless the consequences". It has taken decades to get to where we are. Just why do we have to squeeze leaving into such a tight, and...

So very much not next-day. Flanders - where the poppies blow. Possibly the very fact that a Flanders village can make an impact shows that the EU has somewhat more democracy than is sometimes claimed? And just how much of a voice will we and our villages have in joining TPP? If it can be...

A survey by ComRes found that 44 percent of the public now support a no deal Brexit if Brussels refuses to make further concessions. The result is a six-point rise from January with less than 30 percent disagreeing that the UK should leave with no deal. It comes as 74 senior Tory activists told...

I rather thought that the next-day trade deal claims had been shown to be as unattainable as many of the other claimed "benefits" of brexit? If everything had already been 100% discussed and agreed, they still couldn't even arrange a signing ceremony within a day. :) And if you are not being...

Do you mean the "Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership"? The one that the USA wouldn't join?

'fraid not. For TM: "Your State Pension age is 66 years." So another year... (Can't help also wondering about the bureaucracy required to ensure that pensioners are able to claim exemptions - for example, for illnesses which affect their ability to work in the fields. Maybe diabetes...?)

It is quite obvious why he has chosen to do this. He wants to go fruit-picking on less than minimum wage. ;)

TM latest... May says that, if her deal fails to win a majority in the Commons next week, Britain may not leave the EU for many months, it may not leave with the protections that have been negotiated or “we may never leave”.

I find it astonishing that even 23% are, it appears, satisfied - or did not express an opinion. In my view, it has been terrible from the very start and has (mostly) got worse. Were I a rabid brexit supporter, I'd be deeply unhappy with it.

I actually go past our police station on the way to and from work (mostly) - if there's only one of them, they do an amazing job of driving e vehicle out, sneaking in the back door and then driving another out... ;) Seems the presence of oil and gas facilities plus two cross-Irish Sea ferry...

And a House of Lords defeat for the government. The government has been defeated on Labour’s amendment 13, by 207 votes to 141. The amendment makes it an “objective” of the government during negotiations to pursue a free trade deal allowing the UK to stay “in a customs union” with the EU after...

On this matter, yes, they did launch wonky veg quite a while ago, and I have occasionally bought some. And yes, I have seen some promotion but cannot remember when. The combination of erratic availability and them being over-priced (in my opinion) has meant that I do not seek them out...

Of course, the laws in each country have to be obeyed. But when they are not, we currently have a means of at least trying to chase offenders. In the future, I suspect we will lose that. Many years ago, a friend of mine had both English and German driving licences and would simply produce the...

Anyone caught up with driving offences post-brexit? I believe that offences in this list: Speeding Drink/drug driving Seatbelt/crash helmet Red light/forbidden lane, and Mobile phone offences ... can require exchange of driver details, etc. by DVLA. I guess (and that is all it is) that EU...
