Priceless, so simple for small businesses to sort out. Good old BREXIT!

I suppose that is the result of rule of origin. Your previous 6% duty was paid to the EU. Surely your company in Portugal shouldn't have to pay EU duty on the batteries a second time when the batteries re-enter the EU as they come from there?

No RNA vaccine has been approved until Covid vaccines. If the new Covid vaccines work, I expect future flu vaccines will be made that way. You still need booster jabs but stock can be used for several years instead of one.

it looks like fake news. We'll see tomorrow, I guess Trump will cause some chaos in Congress but nothing will come of it. Only a quarter of representatives are Trump's followers. I know you are well informed but until now, your predictions are mostly incorrect.

that's the old way of making vaccine, using the whole virus. The new way of making vaccines work on a small section of the virus's genome. As long as the mutated virus contains that same section, the vaccine should work in the same way. It's like using fingerprinting to identify someone rather...

    Price impact of the "deal"?

no, as exporter, you only have to ask for the tax ID of your customer, supply your invoice in 5 copies, supply the HS code, indicate the origin of the goods. It's quite straightforward. If you receive goods from outside the UK, if the value is under £135, you pay VAT to the courier. If it's over...

they are Chinese company alright, but until now, they use a defect in the EU Common VAT Area called 'transhipment' to evade UK VAT. Since 1/1/2021, ebay and courier companies are made to collect duty and VAT. If an item costs under £135, you don't have to pay duty, only VAT. You will see any...

it will take a few weeks to sort out, in many cases, it's no different sending from Italy to UK than sending from UK to Norway.

that reminds me of the Acorn Archimedes. The 8MHz RISC chip was fast enough to play 'Elite' then, 1987. It was world beating. We were so enthusiastic about the new 32-bit instruction set! You could create your own instruction code if you like. That was a first.

invention and innovation need a wide/polyvalent industrial base to prosper. Once that base has gone, we are left with pencils and paper, we can continue to put ideas onto paper but not into large scale production. So products can't be refined and we lose rapidly the advantage of early ideas. I...

compulsory Covid app. The Chinese deployed that in Wuhan. Stop people moving without valid reason. Chinese did that in Wuhan, French do that too, you have to fill in a form to say why and where you are going before leaving home, if you then get pulled by the gendarmes, they will check the form...

    Bafang torque sensor mod?

it's not structural but there is no simple way to correct it. You can pad the gap behind it with some shims but customers ignore it. The circlips limit the movement to about 2mm, 1mm on each side. The long term problem is some people put more lateral force in their pedalling than others.

    Bafang torque sensor mod?

it's simplistic and customers expect better design. you can see the groove where the circlip goes: It wouldn't cost Tongsheng much to add a wing nut to stop lateral movement like on the BBS bottom bracket axle.
