    Thanks. Had already cleaned the discs with isopranol - little, if any, change. The new pads have made them as quiet as ever they were. Though perhaps I should have done so, I didn't put much effort into cleaning anything as I re-assembled.

    As a remain voter, I most certainly have not got what I voted for. Funny how the advisory nature of the referendum is almost invariably forgotten (not here, I might add). I imagine the same status would apply to any further referendum.
