    Cytronex conversion kit

It's expensive because they made nearly everything bespoke. That means if anything goes wrong, you're beholden to them. Also a front motor on a road bike or light hybrid type bike is horrible. If you want a nice light-weight kit, you can make your own much better one and save hundreds of pounds...

That's terrible advice. Who said that?

    Throttle with ignition key?

You can, but you'd need to do your own wiring. I can't advise you how to do that without knowing exactly what you have and which exact throttle you want to add.

Why so few hub geared bikes with belts ? Looking at Kalkhoff

I didn't realise that they still sell the kudos Safari. It's a good bike. It has a LiFePO4 battery so will last forever. It's all standard Chinese stuff on it, which can easily be replaced or upgraded very cheaply if you ever feel the need. One of our local Asda empoyees has one. I've see it...

    1500w kit

The seller doesn't understand their product. Look at the max current. If that were true, your battery wouldn't work with it.

    Battery question - Pendleton Somerby

Whatever bike you have, it's always better to charge it on the bike to avoid wear on the connector pins, though it's nothing to panic about. You should always charge until the red light goes green, but if occasionally you don't have time to charge it all the way up, again, its nothing to worry...

    Ebike 700c throttle.

No. You need an actual throttle plugged into the controller. if you have the connector on your controller, it should be just a matter of plugging one in.

The 30 amp 12 mosfet one. Don't bother with the bluetooth, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KT-Controller-6-9-12-18-Mosfet-E-bike-Controller-for-36-48V-250-1500W-Hub-Motor-/254322163031 You have to buy a KT LCD separately, whichever one you prefer. The LCD3 is good. this is from the same seller...

    Conversion kit.

I think you'd find a front motor horrible on a bike like that. The steering goes weird, it'll be noisy and it'll slip and spin on steep up-hills, so your tyres wouldn't last very long. A rear cassette motor would be a lot better.

    Thumb throttle?

Good point. I forgot about them. They do that to sell the derestriction at a ridiculous price. It's a similar thing to their reversing all the connectors so that their customers have to buy spare parts only from them.

When the motor makes that noise, it's not the motor. It's the controller or connections - mainly connections. I've bought 100s of controllers, motors and other stuff from China, and I never had something that didn't work, neither did I ever have anything fail in service. The only problems I've...

    Wisper 806 Torque Difference

It reminds me of one of my first maths lessons in Barstable Scool in Basildon at 11 years old. Mrs Abayasekera wrote on the board "a" and "-a", then asked what's the difference. Clever Dave Mortlock put his hand up and gave the answer "2a". 5 years later he was expelled for having long hair...

    Thumb throttle?

I can't think of any bike with a 4mph throttle that can't be changed by a simple user-setting to a full-range one. The motor controller is the biggest obstacle to fitting a throttle. Most of the older ones have the connector, even if there's no throttle fitted, but more recent ones don't have...

Tyre Help (very basic stuff, sorry)

Most people would refer to those as 700c tyres and tubes. you can use any tyre with a width from about 25mm to 50mm. The tubes need to be the right diameter to match the tyre. Though you don't need to be exact. Obviously a tube for a 50mm/2" tyre would be too big to fit in a 25mm/1" tyre and a...

    Yosepower hub kits.

You must never run a motor with any significant amount of power when it isn't running right, like when it's buzzing, humming, stuttering or making that rubbing noise. That rubbing noise comes when the pulses from the controller aren't synchronised with the motor, so they can't turn it...

    BH Neo Battery Problem

I'm pretty sure that those pins are not connected to anything on the bike. Look at connector on the bike to see what wires are connected. On the ones I remember, only the two battery wires are connected. That means that the pins can only be used by some special diagnostic device for the battery...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

She hasn't put her name forward because she would have been voted out in the primaries. Why do you think that we've ended up with a candidate that doesn't know where he is and can't string a sentence together? Can you give sensible reasons. He has absolutely no chance of going toe to toe...
