Help! Viking Street easy no power to motor

Wrong answer, unfortunately. The question was how many pins in the motor connector? When we say sensorless, we're talking about the lack of sensors in the motor. If there are three thick plus 6 or 6 thin wires coming from the motor, it has hall sensors in it. If it's only three wires, then it's...

Help! Viking Street easy no power to motor

Yes. You can use any generic controller, but from your unclear photos, it looks like your controller and motor are sensorless. How many pins are in the motor connector?

Hub motor swap from Bafang to MXUS

The reason you're getting high current is because the controller has lost sync with the motor. In that case the motor is effectively stalled. When the motor wheel is off the ground and working properly, the most current you can get is about 1 amp, except it will be a bit more while accelerating.

Hub motor swap from Bafang to MXUS

There would be virtually no current if the clutch was slipping or if the gears were stripped. Lift you wheel off the ground and see how much current you can get.

Help! Viking Street easy no power to motor

Shouldn't it flash when you turn the crank? Normally, if they don't flash, its because the magnet disc is too far away or not going round. Brake switches are in the levers, but if disconnecting the brakes didn't solve it, it's not the brakes causing the problem. The only other thing I can...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Dear oh dear! You don't understand how it works. I think you need to go on the Intensive Racial Sensitivity training course that the Burnley banner pilot's girlfriend was ordered to go on because her boyfriend flew the plane with the banner. She refused the training, so was sacked. From the...

You're sort of right. It won't effect the people that expire before it's introduced. Your thinking is blinkered. Get rid of your paradigms and use your imagination to think how it might work. It won't be by mobile phones. That was only stage one.

That's racist. What you don't realise is hundreds of years of colonialism has seeped into your genes and given you a sense of white superiority. It causes you to be unsympathetic to the treatment of black people and their behaviour, which is a result of hundreds of years of oppression by white...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Our BLM guys in Brixton had a nice party. The party-goers managed to injure 22 policemen (some hospitalised) and completely smash up two police cars before chasing the police away. Even when I was at uni, we never had parties that good. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-53176472 One...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Terror incident in Glasgow reported this afternoon. Multiple stabbings and deaths. This is starting to become worryingly frequent. Info says it was at a hotel that housed immigrants. One of the stabbed guys was black, which begs a few questions. So far, it doesn't seem that the press are trying...

I still have mine. It's rolled up with my Jimi Hendrix and atom bomb posters that I bought in 1971. They're probably worth something now.

It's for the people tracking system. Soon, we will all be tracked and identified wherever we go. Most people don't realise that we are already most of the way there.

    Broken throttle

There seems to be a wire missing from that throtle. They're normally: Red 5v Black ground Blue throttle signal Green battery voltage for LEDs Yellow switch Brown switch Is your brown cut short? On some bikes, I've seen the switch wired internally to switch the throttle on and off, but in that...

Help! Viking Street easy no power to motor

If the PAS red light is on, it means that the controller is switched on and active. Your problem is probably something simple, like a connection fault or a brake switch stuck on. Disconnect the brakes for testing. The connectors are at the front of the bike. Does the PAS red light flash when you...

Wisper Locking a Wisper Folding Bike 806

You have to consider the risks and their probability. If you want to cover every possible risk all the time, you'd need all sorts of heavy hardware that you'd have to carry while riding, which will spoil your ride. If you go out for country rides and have a break at a village pub, the chance...

Hub motor swap from Bafang to MXUS

Hall sensors work independently from the load on the motor. They're on a completely different circuit to the motor power, so are not influenced by power or speed. The only logical fault for a hall sensor with your symptoms would be something like a wire not tied down properly and it's rubbed on...

    Removing controller from aluminium casing

I despair at some of your posts. There are practical solutions that have been proven to work for many years over a range of bikes - even provided by mass-production kit suppliers, and there's bullshit theory.

    HELP!!

Turning the bike upside down is no problem. I used to do it all the time until I fitted puncture proof tyres. If you're out on the road and get a puncture, find some grass to put your bike on. Pull the tyre off one side, patch it and put it back on again - about 10 mins work. Don't forget to...
