Actual cost of bike and equipment to employer C2W scheme?

actually less. One sheet of paper setting out how much will be deducted from your monthly pay and for how long, signed by you that you accept the rental terms. That's it. At the end of the year, the bike can be sold to you for 10% of its initial value.

Torque v cadence - which has more efficient battery usage (my wife's battery ran out, mine did not...)?

you found your own sweet spot where man and machine work in harmony. I am surprised that TS kits don't sell as well as cadence kits but that's how it is.

Woosh TSDZ2 - (very) intermittent power

not necessarily. It's possible that the needles inside the blue cog may have lost their grease and stop rotating correctly. They need to move from disengaged to engaged.

Woosh TSDZ2 - (very) intermittent power

if the motor turns but the bike does not move, your blue gear needs replacing. That's back to Southend.

Woosh TSDZ2 - (very) intermittent power

that may point to the torque sensor. The torque sensor is self calibrating. Switch on the LCD, let the bike rest a minute with the LCD on for the self calibration to settle. Test the speed sensor next. Switch assist mode to zero (no assist). Pedal a bit to see if the speed sensor behaves...
