Light weight powered bike may be easier to cycle up a hill then a heavy weight one. Too many variables to discount a lighter bike. A heavier bike all up weight needs a more powerful motor to drag the weight up hill and will use more battery wh.

The consumer has more rights on White goods then ebikes, the ebike legislation for likes of Bosh etc needs shaking up. Two year warranty on an item that costs far more then White goods is just not good enough, Bosh have not yet ever had any of my money and won't do.

From empty or about 31v the battery will about 9- 9.5 hrs to balance charge fully at 2a. As mentioned 36v is the nominal voltage and voltage range is 31v - 42v, your charger is the correct voltage for the battery.

As anon has done keep the hub and replace all the electrics with KT controller and lcd3. PM him or look for his conversion using the search facility. HESC uses a different hub wire connector so another hub make won't be compatible.

Check output voltage as said with a meter first. A wild guess is that the battery may be ok, a likely scenario is that a cell group voltage has gone down below 3v so the BMS will not switch on. If so it will need manually charging by coaxing it back to life , one would need some common sense...

Yes should do the job like a lot of lipo chargers it has multifunction charging so all one needs to do is select the correct battery chemistry in the settings and charge current. The chemistry is a lot more stable then lion or lipo. In series no reason why they won't work, however as mentioned...
