    Brexit, for once some facts.

Possibly - if the cause is simply feeding them too much and inappropriate food. If that is not the cause, or not the only cause, even that blame might be inappropriate. Concern for the young people, rather than criticism of them, as I read it. We really cannot expect 11 year-olds to be fully responsible for their weight, especially if there are factors which are not properly recongised.

So just what do those who cannot work entirely with keyboards and mobile phones do? Obviously not pick fruit, tend to the sick, or work on bulding sites given what we hear about lack of people able to fulfill those roles due to brexit.

Whatever is said today about free trade, no (or at least low) tariffs, easy movement with minimal non-tariff barriers, will change rapidly the moment anyone is thought to be dumping. Or even claimed to be dumping when they are not. The difference between the UK doing fantastic mega-wonderful...

Farage said: "In a 52-48 referendum this would be unfinished business by a long way. If the remain campaign win two-thirds to one-third that ends it." In other words, arch anti-EU person was one of those who most clearly said that he would NOT have accepted the narrow result.

Woman Dies after being struck by Ebike

Not at all sure that I would want any increase in power assisted speed limit. Isn't about 15 mph already above the serious capacity for humans to run? Isn't that a pretty high speed to mix in with others using shared-use paths? Sure, I often reach 30 mph on my ride in to work, but that is on...

Even if it were true, we have seen so many ways in which pursuing the lowest price ends up being so very expensive. With specifics, why should we be so keen on lower prices for non-EU cheese and beef? Two products that we can and do produce in signficant quantities. Just how will (all too...

    Cycling hostility and decline

The Tenby Iron Man competition was last weekend. One participant I know well was ecstatic at the way the spectators turned out and supported them. I get the feeling he felt it better than the TdF (not that he was ever in that!)

Looks like, unusually, several senior tories agree with me. (Just in case that looks ever so self-centred, I daresay they agree with several here and elsewhere.) The analogy brought vehement condemnation from a string of senior Conservatives, including two foreign ministers who worked under...

    Hello from South Wales

My advice would be to change job. (I was very lucky and managed to move 200 miles and get a very short bicycle commute. I often go out of my way to lengthen it with detours. :) )
