    Brexit, for once some facts.

And a spectacularly poor campaign against brexit. Seemed to be all Cameron wittering on. What we have seen since in terms of the apparently unexpected, unanticipated problems were very much ignored or shouted down.

Close Pass: Cardiff drivers warned give cyclists more room

Rather agree. Also, round here there are several 20mph zones through which I can easily achieve anything from 20 to 30 mph. I'd like to suggest that motor vehicles make sure they keep well over to the left so I can overtake them...

Really? The mess of the tories going into an election could be profoundly disturbing. If they did split, and if the brexit mob lost, it just might be "a good thing" - otherwise, I really don't know. Quote below - not intended for the facebook link, just the fact of it. (I don't do facebook so...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

To repeat my little jokelet, it has transformed from apparent will-o'-the-people to what it really always was, will-o'-the-wisp. Wiki reminds me that its Latin name (for JRM) is ignis fatuus. Foolish fire. Or, as I prefer, setting light to your own farts. And probably ending up with a nastily...

Doesn't that mean pushing through brexit, wherever it sits on Moh's scale, is also a most divisive thing to do? There are quite a number of ardent through mild remain backers in the tory assemblage. (Find it difficult to even think of it as a "party".) Both in parliament and in the country...

From that link: In an ominous sign for the prime minister, 64 per cent agreed with the statement “if we get a bad deal, it will mainly be the UK government’s fault”, with 23 per cent disagreeing and 14 per cent saying they did not know. In the case that negotiations are completed, 45 per...

Close Pass: Cardiff drivers warned give cyclists more room

I'd sum up the difference in south west Wales (and, at least to some extent, some other parts) to much of the rest of at least England is that some of the extremely narrow, windy roads are signposted as major routes - because they are! And, of course, satnav guides you down many of them.

What is our plan for visa fees for EU citizens visiting the UK? (Sorry, of course, we haven't actually got a plan yet. But what were the latest rumours and press releases?)

Close Pass: Cardiff drivers warned give cyclists more room

On Tuesday evening, I had to follow a bike on a main road at, I guess, less than 10 mph for towards a mile. Reason? There are several. I am even more careful now about ensuring there is plenty of safe space and on the particular road there is a significant right bend. Given the good quality...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

There are so many ways in which we rely on procedures that have not been laid down in law - but in precedent. How number 10 interacts with HMQE? How POTUS divests of interest in their business when inaugurated? Some are adhered to, others are broken with impunity. The fact of ignoring the...

Ask a casualty or someone in acute, severe pain what they want done? I strongly suspect many will say similarly that they don't care, just get them out (of the car/building/whatever) and stop the pain. Ask again a few months or years down the line, you will get the same people openly admitting...
