Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

Yes - I did, but was a bit worried as I know how suddenly and quickly cats can react and move. Sometimes choosing the wrong direction. :(

Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

Most of the dog walkers I come across are pretty reasonable - hopefully we are mutually accommodating. The real animal issue I had recently was a dog walker, and a couple of children. They carefully moved to make space, the dog leash was held properly. They smiled - and warned me that their cat...

Pleasant ride, sunshine but something missing?

Perfectly reasonable but quite possibly not worth doing? I got a bell that was very poor. If you got everything just right, it makes a somewhat feeble ding. But rotate the dome a few degrees and it becomes almost inaudible. Probably as well to bite the bullet and buy one that sounds and looks...

Cambridge Analytica dismantled for good? Nope: It just changed its name to Emerdata Shock shutdown – THE TRUTH By Shaun Nichols in San Francisco 2 May 2018 at 20:29 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/05/02/cambridge_analytica_shutdown/ Hang on a mo, Geronimo. Looks like a vampire - won't lie...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Have to say, that it quite some drive. Was that in the past few years? The roads from the end of the M4 onward are now amazingly good - to Pembroke Dock. Sure, they get busy at times, but they are generally smooth and well thought out. On my first ever trip down here I kept expecting the roads...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Please add Pembroke Dock? A poor area which needs that ferry. The idea of a customs border of significance resulting in traffic delays and jams down the A477 and A40 would be very unwelcome. I hope the RoI doesn't actually accept such an option. (Let's leave A40 traffic jams in Perivale and...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

We can be almost certain that any trade deal with the USA will be primarily to their advantage. Given the way Trump does things, he'd offer anything and then you would find the reality was very different. The only exception I can see would be if the USA makes a mistake - and a few tiny...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

My view - that I absolutely do NOT want any form of border - in the middle of the sea or anywhere else - between me in Wales and Northern Ireland seems to be entirely missing from discussion of this issue. (Mind, I don't want a border with the republic either.) Some people seem very, even...

If we are importing animals from the USA to Home Secretary, I vote a Ruddy Duck! https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2012/mar/08/ruddy-ducks-extermination

    Brexit, for once some facts.

We buy virtually no food products online. Only a few special things that we have not found a suitable product locally. However, we live in a town that has neither Sainsbury nor Asda. Nearest Sainsbury (other than the pathetic branch in Tenby) is Swansea or thereabouts. Nearest Asda is a toll...

What I read earlier suggested it was more Sainsbury taking over Asda - but with uncertainty about Walmart's interest in the enlarged Sainsbury.

    What a good feeling...

Oh that I were! I was somewhat sceptical of the health benefits of ebikes - I wanted to believe but wondered if sometimes they were overblown. Now I firmly believe in them - and want other fat old gits to know that there might be hope. :)

Further to my last comment above, my waist is actually smaller than it was at the turn of the year. Despite no real attempt to reduce consumption.

Leaked memo 'suggests Rudd was told of targets' Home Secretary Amber Rudd is facing fresh calls to quit after a leaked memo suggested she had been informed about immigration removal targets. The home secretary had initially told MPs probing the Windrush scandal there were no targets - before...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It is becoming obvious that a few smart weapons pointed at Salisbury would be be a less expensive way of cleaning up the city than months of toil on the ground. They could use very, very small weapons to clean up a door knob (a cruise hand grenade should be plenty), and not much more for a bench.
