    Brexit, for once some facts.

EURef2 is already being called for - by many. Who do you mean would be calling for it?

If we really wanted to do it properly, we'd rent all the missile tubes to both sides. After all it's not as if we are ever going to use them, is it? So make the most money...

As if we are not already in such a crisis - just not being recognised and discussed under that heading.

eMTB owners photo and ride thread.

Used to be near my neck of the woods in the 1960s or so. Frensham ponds, Sweetwater, Milford, Brook, etc. Cycling came to an abrupt end when I had an unpleasant flight over handlebars onto pavement at speed. Thoroughly bent front wheel, forks, etc. And painful hand and knees.

With a Guardian headline emphasising the European dimension: MI5 chief: UK and EU intelligence sharing ‘never more important’ (The usual meaning, so I have been told:), of sub-dom usurped by the sub being dominant.)

What do you do to prevent theft of your e-bikes/battery?

Of course bad things happen round here, far too many of them, but it does feel much safer than several other places I have lived. Have not heard of a moped riding thief such as you mean - perhaps I need to read the local papers better. :)

What do you do to prevent theft of your e-bikes/battery?

Most of the time, it is in our garage or behind a big, heavy locked gate at work. (A 30 foot wall at the back of the yard makes other access options non-feasible for anyone with bad intent.)

Not exactly relevant, but certainly made me remember: Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! The name Devo comes from the concept of 'de-evolution'—the idea that instead of continuing to evolve, mankind has actually begun to regress, as evidenced by the dysfunction and herd mentality of American...

One particular medicine now costs about £250 for 28 tablets. Ten years ago, it cost £12 for the same product. Equivalent products cost less than £2 in both Greece and Turkey. Even in Germany, they are only about EUR 30 for 100. Not surprisingly, patients are being refused this medicine - even...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

That is a fundamental which is rarely stated. Our ability to stand up against the companies the size and power of the largest in the USA, China, and elsewhere is minimal. If we took one item of current interest - autonomous vehicles. Once some major countries accept them - from, say, Uber and...

    Posting in wrong sections

    1) Please let the technology of ebikes infiltrate the world of ice cream vans. The stinking diesel exhaust coming out of most of them is disgusting. A few hefty batteries would sort them out... 2) Nearest Macs is closed until tomorrow - for refurb. (Although only just round the corner, I have...

Many times in the very early 1960s we got stuck on one side of the runway at Prestwick waiting for an aircraft. My goodness they were noisy!

I try! And all too often, I fail. You obviously appreciate that my first Booth post wasn't meant to be specific to Croydon - though I didn't check how far out he went. Just general issues of poverty/wealth.

At this time of year it is possible to speculate on which will last longer - the month, or the prime minister? Having said that, there have been all too many PMs, presidents, etc., who lasted for what appeared unfeasibly long periods. Mugabe, Assad, Zuma, ... (What is a vicar's daughter doing...

I can just imagine Booth doing his work within Gatwick and identifying the areas of extreme wealth (first class lounge, VIP suites) and poverty (cattle class "lounges"). Quite possibly located within metres of each other (I can't remember much of of the geography of the airport). And the clashes...

    A bit tight...

On Sustrans 4 I came across this rather silly barrier. My handlebars are literally touching both sides. Maybe they are to stop full size motorbikes getting through - but mine is just an ordinary ebike. At the other end of this path, the chromed plates appear to have been removed.
