    Help me plan my conversion

I ride the Woosh Faro. It's very lightweight, purrs like a kitten, looks and feels exactly like a 'bike'. I go to work with it at a small local charity's office 6 months now. Nobody noticed that I cheat! http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?faro

    Interesting Electric bike

I have no intention of making stabiliser wheels, but am unclear about which bit makes the vehicule illegal. We have front motor, middle motor, velosolex style motor so why not motor mounted onto an arm? Is it because the vehicule would be then a tricycle?

Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

it's been 3 years since this project started. The Rio still looks contemporary. I have changed nothing on it, except for the 8-speed freewheel from DNP to Sunrace. The price has gone up be bit due to the exchange rate and assembly cost, the Rios are now assembled in Southend-on-Sea. This...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the Telegraph has an interesting chart, comparing 2017 GE with today's. The chart shows that TM's lead was higher than Bojo's in the days preceding the GE, 10% lead against BJ's 6%. The actual result for TM was 2.4%. It does point to a hung parliament...

the fertility rate lags behind the statistics roughly by a generation. The 1.84 fertility rate reflects the issue of post war prosperity, when people get richer, they have fewer children and also later. I have 6 siblings, I and they have 2 children each. I am a granddad of just 1. That shows you...

Best ways of shortening and tidying up cables & wiring plus which connectors to use?

you have two large cables: 9-pin motor cable and 10-pin 4 in 1 bus cable that are most exposed. The 9-pin has a mixture of high power phase wires and 5V signal wires, I replaced a few over the years. The 10-pin cable has such high density with little insulation in between is most at risk.

That would give the Tonies about 100 majority. Few people would want to change side plus there is strong tactical voting. I guess we'll see a hung parliament. I reluctantly voted for Mr Corbyn by post.

the NHS needs around 6% increase a year to keep up with demand, more like 10% a year in the next 5 years to clear some of the backlog and bring it to the level of Thatcher's government. Tories will not spend anywhere near the required level. I would gladly pay 20%-25% of my care cost if I could...

Best ways of shortening and tidying up cables & wiring plus which connectors to use?

it's not good for cables to be folded because the radius is too small at the bends. Cut and solder is good but difficult to make perfect solder joints on 24 AWG wires and you still have to heat shrink sleeve each solder join. I would recommend coiling the excess cables and tuck the coils in a...

that's the honey trap. If I shorted the Pound, I'd want to push the Pound higher beore the election result so that punters would buy my option. In a coupe of days, if JRM says they won't vote for an extension of the implementation period, the Pound would lose immediately 7 cents against the USD.

it's up to the official receivers of the company in liquidation to object. If they do, then the rules usually are enforced by the Courts. The general rule is you can't use the old name in a new business if it is in the same industry or commerce.

I like this article in the Guardian: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/dec/11/brexit-boris-johnson-corbyn-election-result QUOTE: It is just about possible, for one day more at least, to imagine a Britain that is spared the lunacy of Brexit, and a Labour party no longer in thrall...

ONS puts the number of immigrants living in the UK at 7 millions + 3 millions of second generation, sons and daughters of immigrants. If you look at the 7 millions, 4 are from outside the EU, 3 from the EU. Before Maastritch, I remember when I came here, there weren't that many EU immigrants...

maybe 600,000, maybe less. The problem is however not caused by EU immigration which added only 52,000 last year while the NHS is getting worse. 4.5 million patients on official waiting list for non emergency treatment is way out of order and you can't count on the tories to fix this anytime...
