    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think the only thing up his sleeve is his continuing bluff for the EU to perhaps believe that is true. That's in the hope of them giving way with a big concession at the last minute, since he continues to believe that is likely due to them bluffing. They aren't. .

There is absolutely no chance of Hungary using a veto for this. Their PM Viktor Orban has forged a very profitable close economic relationship with Germany and won't rock any EU economic boats. .

    Disregarding UK pedelec laws

25 kph (15.5 mph) is only the motor assist maximum, you can ride as fast as you like on any pedelec, so long as the motor cuts off at the legal limit. The reason for it being around 15 mph is that it's intended as a limited concession, bicycle assistance for those who need it for common utility...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

As I posted, equal numeric representation isn't their aim, their budgetary redistribution indicates what they want to achieve. I don't know what their formula is, but clearly the governments of the countries involved seem to accept that it's fair since they've never seemed to be kicking up...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

With respect it's not a shambles, it's by design for two reasons: Firstly it cannot be proportional to population, if it were Croatia would only be entitled to 0.8 of a MEP. The only way that could work in a poor fashion is if they were allowed one MEP but that MEP was banned from 20% of the...

I think the suggestion was too sweeping an assumption. I don't see this as a problem since a high proportion of the Syrian refugees, who are the bulk, are highly skilled in a whole range of employments. .

    Brake failure

The rear will probably have rather less cooling air passing over it than the front disc. Also the upward spray of water from the front tyre tread with road contaminants like diesel oil and particulates, plus rubber plasticizers from tyres will be going onto the rear disc to some extent. .

As the NHS has made clear, you definitely have the wrong impression. They've lost very large numbers of ex EU doctors and nurses, and NHS recruitment from the EU dropped to almost zero by the end of the referendum year. These created a huge problem which the government are trying to cope with...

We should out the horse before the cart and solve those problems, not ban immigrants. If we try to solve them by people limitation, we might as well go the whole hog and adopt China's current enforced two child limit for families. .

And the free racism. No matter how much as leavers protest their vote was not about racism, the immigrants don't see it that way. The very obvious upset and sense of rejection those here already felt about the vote, and that very large numbers who've already left for home have made that...

Not necessarily. For example much of Sweden and Finland are icebound much of the year, those areas making little contribution to their economies. The same goes for EFTA members Norway and Iceland who are also bound by the same immigration rules. And some smaller countries are heavily...

And as "Leaver" Fingers has often posted, we probably never will leave properly. That is even more likely now that Johnson admits he will seek an extension to article 50 if a deal isn't reached in time. We'll end up with a deal not much different from May's deal, which leaves us substantially...

A lot lower than would want to go to Germany, or even less proportionally than choosing Sweden, The Netherlands, Denmark, Austria or Ireland. These immigrants are far from daft and do their homework on our economies, living conditions and prospects. .

Not so. MEPs join into larger groups with similar sympathies. If we'd had the sense to vote in constructively helpful MEPs instead of the destructive Farage and his yobs, we'd have power in the European Parliament way beyond 87 MEPs. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The voting followed agreement with the majority Tories on the issue, under huge pressure to do so. If they'd disagreed they'd still have lost but not gained on the PR and House of Lords reform issues. Those Lib Dem MPs who voted against that agreement were breaking it, not an honourable action...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Oh dear, this old myth again. The Lib Dems didn't go back on abolishing tuition fees, we failed to elect them into power, leaving them as a very small minority in coalition. They did make the mistake of going into coalition with the Tories. If they'd taken the other option of joining with...

Property and capital maybe, but never land. No-one should ever be able to own land, the whole of this earth's land belongs to all life here, by virtue of being born on this earth. It's the ownership of land that has so grossly perverted the cost of housing. .

Prevous Leafs did have heating and cooling for the batteries, but this latest one doesn't. That has the disadvantage that without cooling the battery can't accept multiple rapid charges for very long journeys. It accepts one at the normal 50kWh rate to extend range to up to 280 miles in fine...

That's what attending school and being in lessons at set times on set days does. It doesn't need the imposition of homework which is less than helpful in those respects. The armed forces do the same to far higher standards, which is why many regret the passing of national service, but going...
