    First conversion - advice needed!

she's got a Ridley road bike, they aren't cheap. If it were my bike, I wouldn't want to spoil the look with a cheap ebay kit with wires everywhere. something like this:

Brompton conversion... would this Whoosh kit work?

estimate is based on current exchange rate $1.30 for £1. If you need a new LCD (to share the same battery between 2 bikes), it's £45. The new cradle comes with the controller, you don't need to fork out more money for it. a new pedal sensor costs £12.

I would recommend the XF08C with 17AH. You get about 70-80 miles on a full charge with your bike, plenty of reserve to get home even on a very windy day. The whole kit adds about 7.5kgs to the bike but as there is no drag when riding without power, it's not a big problem if you run into a...

BREXIT the silver lining or lead cosh?

Like with any big event, there will be winners and losers. brexit will upset the apple cart for those working on the supply side, however imports are supposed to be cheaper. I don't know anyone is paying anti-dumping duty and survive, so the result may not be so drastic.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Labour lost much more than 2% of its voters. Labour share of votes in 42%, in 2019 32.2%, down 7.8% - nearly 8% of the national votes or 20% of 2017 Labour votes, 23% of 2019 Labour votes. More than half of those who switched went to the LibDems. I find no stats on how many Labour votes...

Brompton conversion... would this Whoosh kit work?

if we are talking about my forthcoming kit for the Brompton, the kit is similar to this one, except the controller is Lishui LSW947 and a left side pedal sensor. In the case of the OP, I think the battery will have to go behind the seat post and use an HL controller instead.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

May I repeat again, remainers didn't vote for Bojo, they voted for other remain parties. the problem wasn't Labour's offer of a referendum. SNP, Libdems, PC, Greens all support a second referendum. It's Corbyn's insistence that he'll negotiate a deal then may or may not vote against his own deal...

Brompton conversion... would this Whoosh kit work?

battery: yes. LCD: yes. I can't remember which battery you have, let's assume it's an HL battery, the same solution applies to rack battery too. controller: you need a new HL or rack battery controller. it will still be much cheaper than buying a whole new kit.

Brompton conversion... would this Whoosh kit work?

I should have my kit for the Brompton ready in late January. The front motor wheel fits the Brompton 74mm (OLD) dropout.

There may be a problem with your bike. Lift the motor wheel up and spin it forward. It should freewheel like the other wheel.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I believe if JC had offered a referendum of BJ's deal, he would not have lost so heavily. My point is: don't bother explain why people should vote for you, just concentrate on collecting the protest votes. Concentrate on those that don't want Bojo or his deal.

BREXIT the silver lining or lead cosh?

Most companies surviving anti-dumping will have switched their assembly to the EU since last year, so I don't expect any change anytime soon. The government's stated objective is to have at least some sort of deal by the end of 2020. EU bikes presumably won't have to pay UK import tariff...
