You have to say what you want to do with it and how you want it to help you before we can tell you which one to get.

    Samsung 18650 Li-ion LiNiCoMnO2

Its a 13S4P battery using Samsung 2900PF cells. There are two things to look out for. the first is how much current the cells can give. the second is how much current the BMS can give. Here's some test data for the cells. https://irp-cdn.multiscreensite.com/80106371/files/uploaded/file9.pdf...

    Help! Replacement electronic controller required

All controllers work the same, so, in principle, you can use any controller that fits in the compartment. Modern ones are a lot better than what was available in 2012. About £75 will get you a really nice one with an LCD and 5 levels of assist and it will make your motor much smoother and...

    Yosepower hub kits.

If you have rim brakes, it's no problem to spread the frame on the left side and add washers to centralise the wheel. The problem is not the amount of thread left, it's the tension in the spokes, a small dish makes hardly any difference, but by the time you have a dish big enough to position...

    TSDZ2 and PF30 bottom bracket

I've seen one done with eccentric adaptors, but you need to get those specially machined.

Which? review of ebikes this month

That guy got caught when he promoted a fake product. IIRC, it was a product that scanned food and told you what was in it. When he was exposed, he looked really silly and had to appologise. Details here. Basically, he's just a paid promoter acting as a reviewer.

    Samsung 18650 Li-ion LiNiCoMnO2

It's 20A, so you need a 25A battery. The one in your link is no good.

Bike to carry 8 -10 year old

Both are good bikes. I tried the Juicy at the last bike show. It's really nice - quiet too. Also, Juicy have been supporting this forum for many years and they'll answer any queries you have.

    Samsung 18650 Li-ion LiNiCoMnO2

It's only rated at about 15A continuous. What's the maximum your controller allows? My advice is to always use a battery rated at 5A more than your controller. Eclipse have some stronger ones. http://eclipsebikes.com/index.php?cPath=30_31

See whatever is in your local electric bike shop or Halfords if you need support for fixing and servicing.

    Yosepower hub kits.

If you use one of these cheap keys from Ebay, it's the 13G slot. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bike-Cycle-6-Way-Wheel-Rim-Spoke-Adjuster-Wrench-Key-Spanner-Bicycle-Repair-Tool/272704320808?epid=2224459326&hash=item3f7e71b528:g:zeYAAOSwLdJcdYPf If you need it quickly...

    Orbea Gain in the rain

I expect the umbrella comes in handy when you get a following wind! I've got a big can of Flit too if you want to borrow it.

    Orbea Gain auxiliary battery

If you're going to do that, you might as well make your own from scratch, which, as I already said, would be about the same cost for the whole bike as the Orbea replacement battery, and you get complete flexibility over speed, power and range.

Which? review of ebikes this month

I'm not disagreeing with you in any way or saying you've done anything wrong. I'm just expressing my disappointment at the media and Which magazine for giving unbalanced information. Even when they do have a fair range of bikes, they always come across as very biased. What sort of bikes were...

Which kit and where to buy

Heavy doesn't really mean anything. How heavy are the loads? How heavy are you? How fast do you want to go? How hard do you want to pedal? How legal do you want it to be? If you want to do any serious off-roading, then it has to be a crank-drive. A hub motor is normally better on the road. I...

What are the best bikes for converting to pedelecs?

As a general rule, bikes that are good for conversion have a frame with a large triangle, disc brakes and space on the handlebars for a throttle. For the throttle, you have to look at the arrangement of shifter and brake to see if there's enough clearance. For a bike that's going to be left at...

Which kit and where to buy

That's impossible to answer because we don't know what you want. We need a lot more info before we can give any sensible answers.

Bafang Maxdrive bike - pretty cheap.

Just spotted this on Ideal World. You get all the normal advantages of buying from a big mail order company like that (flexypay), plus you get a bike that you have complete control over the programming for speed, power, etc and relatively cheap replacement parts for a crank-drive bike...

Which? review of ebikes this month

Yes, that might have been the intention, but why didn't they include the Halfords Pendleton or the Elife bikes that they sell on Ideal World and QVC, which are much more suited to that type of market?

    Orbea Gain in the rain

Most bikes can tolerate a lot of riding in the rain, but, obviously, there's always more risk than riding in the dry. The thing to be careful of is leaving your bike out in the rain after riding it. If you want to leave it outside, make sure you put it under cover. One thing that will help a...
