Fitted BBS01B to my Carrera Crossfire

We have hills steep enough to stall the motor with the 46:11-28 I was running. Try a 48 first it might be enough. I am running a 42-32:11-34 and it spins out at about 47-48 km/h on the 11 tooth and the 32 tooth granny ring goes all the way to cut out, spinning out at about 27 km/h. An ideal...

    Lipo battery charging and voltage

OK so you are running a 5 Ah 37 V battery composed of 2 X 5 Ah Turnigy LiPos in series. 1. LiPo marked as 20 C does not really give that much power, on ES the estimate is 20-25% so your battery is capable of only about 20-25 Amps. That isn't enough for a BBS02 motor in my opinion. 2. This and...

    Lipo battery charging and voltage

Your message is very scary @brianw... Why are you using lipos? What is the reason you are running at 21V and not 37V? What brand are the lipos, they don't sound like very high quality ones? How are you charging? Lipo should be charged to storage voltage (3.85V) if you aren't using them and...

Safety advantages or disadvantages of e-bikes over conventional bikes?

Um Trevor - NZ busy or France/Spain border busy? ;) I know the population has gone up a bit since I left but it isn't exactly what one would call dense...

    Diy solderless 18650 battery kit.

Some of us have complicated frames... 1. Slightly larger about the same weight 2. In a bespoke battery box 3. Screwed to the bottle holder rivnuts like a commercial battery 4. Yes, the battery box will have a door that locks but most charging will be done on the bike because I can...

    Why Derailleurs gears?

I am warming to the new C.12 pinion. Waiting on d9veh's test of the new 1.4 kg Xiongda which, equipped with a singlespeed freewheel, would be quite a nice combination for my future project... Quite a bit lighter together than a normal hub motor with cassette or freewheel and front crankset.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The EU wants to give you nothing. You decided to leave the EU so you have to ask (politely) for things you may need from the EU which will then decide to let you have them or not.

First look at the new Woosh FB Six

I really can't see much difference between the two other than W rating on the bafang page, that is why I asked. My vote is for the MM G360.250 which has PAS and no torque sensor I think that this might be the new form factor of the BBS02? It also handles 12, 13 and 14S batteries (43/48/60V)...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

We at least now have proof that she isn't human. Better protection against idiots running around killing people could be done now with existing legislation and tools but it would also require more staff and funding. Unfortunately the staff required would also need a minimum level of...

still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

Thanks for the video Woosh my cadence is effectively between 80 and 90 just by eye. You also know you are at the right cadence by motor noise, if you are in the wrong gear and at the wrong cadence the motor will tell you.

First look at the new Woosh FB Six

Is your motor the MM G330.250? If so it is a 250 W motor. So is the MM G360.250 PAS only motor which takes up to 60 V (1500W at 25 amps), now that is getting my palms all sweaty... Yesterday I saw a wood frame e-bike in S.Sebastian (didn't have the camera...) and it had a 350W stamped...

still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

@footpump your thread is very intriguing because I thought that it was impossible to stall a bosch powered bike. I have never had a ride on a torque sensor bike, mine have all been plain old PAS. I have almost stalled the GSM once, before changing my gearing, on a hill which is hard to walk up...
