As long as the batteries are identical cell count and charged to the same voltage you will be OK. Otherwise you may get a big spark...

If you turn the battery off then back on you go to the first screen? If not you have done something horribly wrong and may have ruined the LCD. If you regain control go to C10 and choose yes then validate. You should be able then to start over from the beginning.

One of the advanced config options is wrong. Mine did that when I set up the new controller. Factory reset then input correct values all around.
