    amp setting advice?

Which one, Samsung ou LiPo? The Samsung one should be good for 2C (20 Amps) and 3C Peak but I guess the BMS may limit current to 20 Amps. They say standard 5 Amps but for most 36 V controllers standard nominal is 7 amps. At the moment my controller is set to 18 Amps and I have seen the motor...

    new Yamaha pwx motor

Damn SW now I hope you have saved up because these look like serious bikes! And the Pound is down against the Euro... Shame. Maybe I should just run off and start a trekking bike section for all us commuters?

Mid-Motor - highest assist level and no speed restriction - battery life

First off I didn't get that you has TS instead of PAS. One day I'll have to try a TS bike. I am getting the hang of my PAS now after about 200 km (no odometer yet). You either choose assist or range from what I can figure. We shall see when I have a controller that has PAS AND speed sensor working.

Is this the start of ebikes for the masses?

Side reflectors have to be orange in France I think the reflective tyres are legal in Holland where reflectors have to be round, don't know about Germany color wise but the in wheel ones are orange but aren't round. See all that EU dictatorship you are leaving behind, three countries, three...

Is this the start of ebikes for the masses?

@Kudoscycles - I am a car driver who fell upon hard times and who discovered that running an e-bike cost even less than bus and train tickets. I think that £1800 paid on the never-never is an economical solution to being without a car if you live in an area with bad public transport. I would not...

Mid-Motor - highest assist level and no speed restriction - battery life

It is a different ride, I have my training wheels on too at the moment So far my take is on the flat use lowest assist level and as I climb notch it up. Gearing is very important I need a better top gear. If you don't have a working PAS it will be difficult for the motor to know how much power...

Haibike sDuro HardSeven SL 2015 Yamaha (7 Month 1600 Miles)

Do you have an idea of your cadence at 36 mph in 42-12? I can manage about 35 mph in 46-11 but I find my cadence a little low. I am thinking of a 44 tooth chainwheel and a 7 speed SRAM 12-32 cassette. What chainwheel did you have before?

    Battery help

Not repeating to you, sorry, there are many questions about batteries with the OP trying to save as much as possible. It isn't a good idea, a powerful motor connected to a substandard battery becomes a sub standard motor. Though on a shoestring budget when I bought my first kit I got a Samsung...

New 2016 Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB looks good

I caught my Michelin City trying to do the same thing at 3500 km but the sidewall was still holding together with the nylon strings. I put it down to the 3 kg plus Mxus hub motor, Chinese rim and bad treatment. The front tyre is like new with the same mileage. That is a running cost of 0.006€ a...
