Both my bikes were free and came with pedals which I promptly scrapped for ergotech ones...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

<comic relief alert> How very English! There you all are thinking "What's best for personal income first! Oh dear! We can't say that!" and so you put future generations, "the economy" and the NHS first. Hipocrites :p </comic relief> Just for information, coming from NZ the NHS was already...

    Any ideas or suggestions?

That was a question sorry. The charger seems to be for a 48V battery. Can you test the voltage from the battery? Is the voltage marked on the motor?

It is a 48V battery? Loved the sticker with ROSH instead of RoHS

    Euro football

For next time a stadium could be reserved for "fans". Lock them in for a couple of days and then do a body count. Country with the most dead "fans" wins! When is the rugby on?

    More help please...

Not daft as David said, there is a (small) learning curve. My pedelec was my first regular bike in over 30 years so I had to get used to gears again. I had to get used to them being on the handlebars for one my previous bike all those years ago was a racing bike with levers on the downtube. I...

    GSM mid drive strange noise

I can confirm the ease of movement shown in the above videos. It is so free moving that I am connecting a kill switch for when I am stopped at the lights. Other notes: There is no real motor run-on so a brake switch is not needed for stopping. There is no need to cut the motor to change gear...

    Commuting bike

Yes clear I understand where you are coming from but I disagree with your analysis. I have very little experience as yet but the way I see it (subjectively) is: - I am climbing sitting down using full assistance not standing up on the pedals and trying to beat the record on the Alp d'Huez. -...

    Number Two

Battery box: In the beginning I wanted a Samsung celled HL battery with internal controller, there is a 17 Ah one on sale in the Netherlands for 599€, ideal for the GSM. But it won't fit. So I drew a custom battery box made of ply and glass that will take the 09 bottle battery controller. It...

Weekend fun off-road, but mostly commuting - ideas?

You need two bikes. If you have a bike for rocky hilly offroad it won't be adapted for commuting (rack for paniers, mudguards, 28" fast rolling tyres...) and vice versa.

    Commuting bike

That is less loss than a gear hub! I vote with trex on this one - I am the demographic "wrong" side of 60 and having just built my first ever bike with suspension AND baloon tyres and I am loving the comfort. I have the cheapest fork on the market with no lock out so pre-load is set to maximum...

The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

I try to do that but when you are assembling your latest bike in the comfort of a covered terrase instead of up three flights of stairs and you need the KT-LCD3 manual what is a man to do? Seriously though: at work I don't have access to a computer and I have some spare time between 2 and 4 in...

    It affects the law

The have morphed into 49cc scooters. There are still a few around on the continent. My eldest son bought a second hand one which he fixed up to go on a road trip last year with his mates. Silly boy rode the whole way back home in 14 1/2 hours to get back to work in time... They still exist in...

Road test This is my first ride on a mid-motor pedelec (nope, never road tested a factory built bike...). First go up my 3.8 km hill, first ride in the rain and first crash test! Mid-motor vs rear hub: it is different. More bike like? Hard to tell I always rode my hub bike using the gears like...

The Best Mobile Telephone Ever Made for only £9.10

I bought a "smart phone" last week (97 € including port) with the intention to use only the "smart" bit and never the phone. Works very well as a 5" tablet to replace my nexus 7 which needs another 59€ bit as well as the new battery to get back on the road... I also have a high end Nokia slider...

    Hi, I'm Susan

Just to encourage you Susan I lost my extra 4 kg within the first month of using my pedelec. You just have to get out and about and get those km/miles in several days a week.

    Converting a tandem trike

I think the ciclotek BPM may be a Bafang, I have their Mxus 250 W (Platinum) which I used up till a couple of days ago. Good service, in Europe but prices are not very competitive with the UK these days. Or are you having a currency moment again? :p:D
