Convert a old lady pashley for hills

yes, it's possible to fit smaller rings but the problem with retaining the chainguard is still not solved You need to have space around the ring and the two front anchor points. Difficult to solve without detailed pictures. Re pedaling on hills: that's the least worry. The motor is strong and...

advice on BBSHD and alternatives to build a touring/hybrid bike

I would be careful, Chinese businesses like them falsely declare a lower value for their goods to evade import duty and VAT. They say on their web page 'If you from Norway or Switzerland,we will declare value US$120 for motor'. If the authorities get interested, they'd be pushed to close their...

Hi Lynda, Take a look at the Woosh Santana3. It has a step through frame, excellent motor for hills and will suit your 5ft6 height. Compared to the Halfords Carrera for women, the Woosh bike has 15AH battery (plenty for up to 5 miles), Carrera 11.6AH, so no range anxiety over your distance...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

King is lazy and coward. He presided over NR and RBS. He was a loud brexiter and now sensing the wind turning, he is looking for someone else to blame. If he wants WTO, he should say 'pay £39 biillions, concrete over half of Dover and build a hard border in NI'.

it's correct if we have a deal, that is we pay exit costs and get 2 years transition. If we don't agree to pay, it is going to be very different on the 30th March next year.

I watched JRM interviewed by the BBC this afternoon: he said that Michel Barnier agrees with him that Chequers proposal is 'rubbish'. So does Labour, LibDems, Justine Greening etc. and yet none of them has any better idea. Polls confirm that only 15% of the electorate support chequers proposal...

    Hello from St Annes-on Sea

e-bikes cannot resist salty spray for long. The salt will corrode both steel and aluminium at crazy speed. If you ride on the beach, you'll need to wash the bike and dry it immediately after to get rid of sand and salt.

there is no better plan than a GE because of our system. Brexit is created and run by the conservative party, you have to remove them from power at the next GE if you want to reverse brexit. Personally, I am not unhappy with a trial separation.

I doubt that anybody would win anything substantial, it's more of a loss-loss situation as in most divorces. Both sides want to kick that can down the road for a couple of years, hoping that people who voted for brexit change their mind when they see how difficult it is to build new relationships.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

brexit is brexit. That's the plan. what other plan are you talking about? we don't need any other plan. Neither the EU nor the UK government want a plan. Both sides set up enough road blocks to stop negotiation and the ROI is complicit in this.

the difference is that the electorate has been given sufficient time (4 years) to think. If fewer than one in 20 decides for the other 19 then it's still unfinished business as Mr Farage said.

that's the problem, polls are polls, not a replacement for legal votes. The only vote that really counts is the GE, DC made sure that the tory government control when it happens. That vote is now controlled by the brexiters in the conservative party. As you would say, you ordered the food, now...
