Would this bike be suitable for ebike conversion

yes, you will need to fit at least 3 x M5 rivnuts, likely 4 or 5 rivnuts. 10 minute job with the right tool. They are easy to do, drill 6.5mm holes and use a tool like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/86pcs-Threaded-Nut-Rivet-Gun-M3-m8-Insert-Tool-Riveter-Rivnut-Nutsert-Riveting/4021720328 You...

Would this bike be suitable for ebike conversion

the frame is a bit too small for an HL kit I think. Cut a piece of cardboard 37cm x 10cm to represent the downtube battery - see if you can place it inside the triangle. There is a possibility to mount the kit to the underside of the downtube like this:

    rims and Marathon Plus

Hi Stephen, What tyre are you using on it at the moment? Please email support@wooshbikes.co.uk some pictures of the marking on the MP tyre that gave you problem. I fitted a Marathon Plus 28-622 tyre to that rim a couple of months ago and a Kenda road tyre 28 x 1.5 two days ago to that rim. Tony

    rims and Marathon Plus

Simon, Which size is the tyre? 700C is used on two different tyre size: 28" and 29" tyres The rim on the motor wheel is 28" ISO-622. We use mostly 28 x 1.5 tyres (40-622). If in doubt, select 28" tyres. Marathon Plus: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/schwalbe-marathon-plus-smartguard-rigid-road-tyre/

    Brexit, for once some facts.

you'd want the current government to have no deal, no transition. that'll help TM to ask for a change of direction.

83.6% Anti-Dumping Tariff on Chinese E-bike. Where the Market will go?

I thought it may come to that but as I ship in batteries and wheels separately with my kits, I don't think HMRC could argue it's a CKD or PKD bike.

it'll take a few years to pay for brexit - perhaps most of us who have to pay for brexit are not as rich as those who want a clean cut with the EU.

the conservative party won't support a second referendum unless TM fails to get a transition deal. For the next step, you need the government to propose the relevant legislation, whatever it is.

there is of course no guarantee that will be the case. According to some sociologists, you can divide voters into two groups: those who decide on how they feel and those on numbers. That was the basis for the use of social platforms like FB to sway voters. The latter are divided into groups...

E-bike power cuts out under load

random cutouts are difficult to diagnose, especially when you don't have another similar e-bike or kit at hand to borrow stuff that you can swap out, made worse by the fact that the LCD went off. I would have swapped out the LCD to rule it out first if I could, then the battery, then the...

nothing new, there will always be disputes, with the US prodding the EU to get into conflict with its Russian neighbour via NATO. Modern warfare is cheap computers, mobile phones, IOTs, social media and fake news. The USA dominate totally these areas. Forget nuclear bombs, nobody wins wars...

the US: more FTAs in less favourable terms with the USA, more military spending on US fighter jets or nuclear submarines. Forget Russia. They are not going to invade anyone, their economy is the size of Italy's and their products not well marketed here.

in this day and age, you can see foreign influence anywhere and everywhere, so don't be surprised that the same accusations are applicable also to the opposite camp. One thing though, funders of the brexit camp tend to be financiers. They have the most to gain with deregulation of financial...

any deal that gives parliament 2 year transition will probably be OK, membership fees are worth £22 billions out of the £39. If we leave without a deal, we'll be sued for the whole £39 billions. MPs are a bit desperate to buy more time.

no deal is worse than a bad deal but TM can't say it any more than JC admits he is a soft brexiter. What she does is to put up a clearly bad deal which she knows will be rejected virtually by 4 out of 5 voters. If the EU does not give her a good enough deal, her next move is to reduce the choice...
