83.6% Anti-Dumping Tariff on Chinese E-bike. Where the Market will go?

I put up my prices £100 per bike (that's enough to cover extra shipping and re-assembly cost) after the 37% anti dumping levy was collected. Early indication is that results to about 10% lost sales, mainly on the Rio MTB, due to too much competitive products already in the channels.

Halfords have loads of Voodoo hardtail bikes, piece of cake when it comes to fitting a kit to. I converted this Voodoo (£400 new at Halfords) 650B with the Woosh XF08C kit (£499). You get a bike with Suntour XCM shocks and hydraulic brakes, 13AH battery, a good commuter for about 45 miles...

unfortunately, the Isle of Man is in the EU customs union. If it weren't, I'd be tempted to setup there.

I would suggest you get something like this £1,150 Kona from Evans using their trade in (-£100) and £1,000 cycle to work scheme, £50 of your own money, then fit a £499 Woosh XF08C kit to it. The Rockshox Sektor TK Solo air fork on the Kona is really nice and light...

He (Minford) said: “It could not be more open and shut who least wants a breakdown. For the UK a breakdown would be a short term nuisance but a substantial economic gain. For the EU it is both a short term nuisance and a substantial economic loss.” he is a bit economical with the truth, it...

Greed is usually a force for good. if you compare the power of a few ultra rich individuals against the power of a few top religious leaders and politicians, I would argue that although all of them are limited by human lifespan, politicians and religious cause a lot more atrocities than those...

this will hurt (the hard brexiiters): the Sun headlines today: "A no-deal Brexit will hit European countries the hardest – costing them a WHOPPING £500BN" perhaps a little reflection on how much a no deal brexit will cost the UK won't go amiss.

would you support more military spending on advanced fighter jets and nuclear submarines? War deaths are now fewer than people drowning in the Med while trying to seek a better life.

it's only a phase in human evolution where conflicts are still resolved by the use of force. If you take out organised religions, you'd stop half of the atrocities. Genocides are largely eliminated. Land disputes will take a little longer to resolve without wars.

[Driving Test] Mid-Drive+Torque Sensor VS Hub Motor+Cadence Sensor

there is a simple fix for this, which I have on some of my bikes fitted with the KD58C LCD*. You go into advanced settings, then power setting and change the power ratio to suit your riding style. My personal settings are: Level 1: 35% Level 2: 50% Level 3: 65% Level 4: 80% Level 5: 90% 100% =...

why should I be ashamed of that comment? If our RAF drops bombs in Syria for example, would I liken our country to Nazi's Germany? Of course not.

ask yourself this simple question: how many Palestinian descendants carry Israeli passport? Are they persecuted? How many arab countries' citizens visit Israel every year? are they stopped and searched? Likening Israel to Nazi's Germany is uncalled for.

Smokescreen? No, it's a small issue for most but I can see why it's important to about 1% of the population, I have some sympathy because sometime I feel being part of a minority myself. Labour is going to deal with it in September, JC will have to come off the fence soon enough. There is no rush.

although I am not for the IHRA's definition of AS, I still think it is totally wrong to make sweeping comparison of Israel with Hitler's Germany. The comparisons are grossly unfair. I voted sometimes for Labour and don't dislike JC but I can't bring myself to vote for JC next time because of his...
