    Brexit, for once some facts.

Now Colemans Mustard are closing in Norwich after 160 years, moving partly to the North and partly to Germany, the latter no doubt to keep an EU presence. It'll probably all end up there if prior examples are anything to go by, and they are owned by Unilever, two thirds Dutch based. And...

    Shwalbe Tyre problem

Yes, if I knew that very large numbers used the product and had no trouble, and that is obviously true of Schwalbe. As I posted, every product has an occasional fault. If you do a search you'll find some examples of faults on Continental bicycle tyres. That wouldn't stop me buying them, not...

    Shwalbe Tyre problem

I've been following and reading the whole thread from its beginning and my reaction is the same as that from some other very reasonable members. Basically that you are overreacting to a minor issue. This post by AK illustrates the problem. He very reasonably drew attention to item 3 not being...

Agreed, and they include Continental and Kenda. I've had good experience with the latter's puncture resistance. .

    Shwalbe Tyre problem

Thank you for confirming what an unreasonable bigot you are. The only thing unbelievable is your attitude, prompting some very reasonable members to take exception. Any product can have a rare fault, in the 11 years of this forum this is the first like this on a Schwalbe tyre that I've seen...

    Best mountain bikes for family.

No problem, it's often thought to be EU law since most of our e-bike law emanates from there. Here's an example of a Dutch 12 year old and his young brother riding a pedelec in a way entirely legal there. Imagine what a field day one of our police would have in our over restricted country...

    Shwalbe Tyre problem

Another kiwi's response wasn't in any way bigoted, you described it as curt. What I was referring to were the disparaging references to Schwalbe tyres being made in Indonesia, inferring Germans can make tyres but Indonesians can't. That's both bigoted and racist, showing an astonishing lack of...

    Shwalbe Tyre problem

What an arrogant response, inaccurate too. d8veh and I have had a number of disagreements. I agreed on the Schwalbe Marathon Plus post from my two decades of experience with those tyres on three different bikes covering thousands of miles. During that I had a single slow puncture with an MP...

A small correction, the EU do not ban children from riding e-bikes. That 14 years minimum age restriction is a UK one, contained in the Road Traffic Act 1988, later copied in Northern Ireland in their 1995 Road Traffic Act. .

Something to put on next year's Xmas list

That's why I think all the stories of such as Amazon delivering by aerial quad drones are ridiculous. Any drone capable of carrying parcels could cause terrible injuries and damage in an urban environment if it crashed. .

All in one wheel from BMSbattery

Others have been around for a long time, the Copenhagen Wheel for example was announced in 2009. Now nearly a decade later, it and copies haven't exactly set the world of e-biking alight, so I doubt they are really desired. .

Yes, the Boxster was a real winner for them, and their Macan and Cayenne are doing well too. With their updated manufacturing they are apparently making over £14,000 per car of clear profit, amazing when producing nearly a quarter million cars a year. Other mass manufacturers can only dream of...

Not quite, it was actually a story of two separate parts. Porsche had started dabbling in the stock market with surplus earnings and rapidly found that far more rewarding than the car side, eventually accruing a fortune equal to over £4 billions, far more surplus than their specialised car...
