    Brexit, for once some facts.

If we don't join the EU customs union, we can't have open border in NI, your EU customers will have to pay duty again on Chinese goods that you sell. The CETA deal for example covers only goods made in Canada. Overtime, Japanese, US etc operations that use the UK to spearhead for their EU...

Advice re new bike with hub gears.

we tend to put integrated hubgear on folding bikes because the derailleurs on the folding bikes tend to get a knock now and then. On full sized bikes, we have the Sundowner for about 4 years (http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?sundowner) but sales were not sufficient to justify warehousing space, so we...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the EU will give us a free trade deal alright, but it may not be good enough to avoid a hard border in NI. Take steel for example. The EU proposes temporary anti dumping levy on Chinese steels. What happens if the UK don't want to levy same? That's why for a frictionless or soft border, we need...

could it be because nobody has come up with a hubgear as light and as energy efficient as a derailleur?

No he won't, or he is not allowed to. It is because DD bluffs, nobody in our government could believe that the EU officials do not bluff or less than they do. That'll going to cost us more at the end.

what are we looking for in a deal with the EU? 1. guaranteed market access 2. shared regulations We must accept a degree of shared sovereignty if we want to share the same regulations.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the loss of the UK is bad for the EU but they (EU27) are not pressed for time like we are. If they can introduce taxation across the EU (like the transaction tax) then the problem of making up for the loss of future UK's contribution would be easy. What worries me is the attitude of our own...

    E-Bike for Towing

it seems that our new 48V kit may fit your requirements. http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?hubkits It's a Bafang SWX02 laced to a 26" rim, the motor is wound for high torque. The battery is a downtube HL battery, 48V 12AH, giving about 40 miles on a full charge.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

most FTAs don't come with free movement, only some relaxation of rules to get a business visa. However, freedom of movement was built in right from the inception of the common market and did not cause any problem for many decades until the right wing press uses it for their campaign.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think we should workout fast what we want post brexit. The way DD and TM are negotiating at the moment is so wishy washy that nobody can understand where we are heading. If we want to stay close to the EU, we have to join their customs union. It's spelled out B/W, why anyone could possibly...

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

you are correct, the BBSes don't care about the angle, you mount it at any angle you like. I think the TSDZ2 will probably still work if mounted at an angle but I haven't tried this myself. It was my assumption that torque sensors need to know where the cranks are, If I have caused doubt, please...

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

It may be possible but I don't know, the software needs to know the angle of the motor to the horizontal. I have not talked to people at CAF in the last 3 years.

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

I don't think you can fit a throttle to the TSDZ2. No, the TSDZ2 has a pedal torque sensor which needs the motor to stay horizontal for the software to work correctly. It also relies on a bracket, acting like a kind of torque arm, bolted to where the chainstays are welded to the bottom bracket...

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

We don't sell the TSDZ2 yet, we are just evaluating it at the moment. It looks good on paper though. The buy price for us is about 10% less than BBS01B and Bafang just put their prices up by 2%-3%. You don't have the same problem with shifting gear under load that the BBSes have. Also...

dahon folder conversion - fast and light

I would fit the Tonsheng TSDZ2 CD kit. There is only one cable going from the motor to the LCD that is exposed. The kit is also cheaper and lighter than Bafang BBS01B.

they don't even have to do that, they just put our £11 billions a year manque a gagner on to the pile of RAL which is at £250 billions currently. Until everyone is clear on where we stand with regard to our liabilities, the hard brexiters will continue to promise big gains post brexit, little...

that may be difficult because we are more pressed for time than they are. Also, until our offer includes honouring our share of the RAL, I don't think the EU is going to be interested.

we can leave the EU and stay in the customs union. that's what soft brexit is.
