My APT 80OS LCD from the defunct gsm kit has the remote 3 button handle bar function/pad, it utilises all 5 wires from the lcd to the remote pad. I haven't opened an lcd 1 or 3 pad to look so don't know if it utilises all 5 wires but would think so, the wiring is most likely just very thin...

If you go for the KT controller & lcd it might be better to buy the PAS, throttle, brakes also as overall they don't add much to the cost. If you are lucky you might be able to fish all the wiring internally again. The original controller is out of stock from Oxydrive and originally was/is...

Knock off copy of Wuxing 108X on ebay for about 1/4 of the price for use with sm3 connector but no reason not to solder Julet or Higo...

All my throttles are on the lhs and I prefer to thumb them up/forward, the nicer movement I found was with the new 130X model which has a nice lever operation. Post edit. Should read 108x which has the lateral paddle lever underneath like a shifter does.

:eek: Not going to be easy to resolder 14 small wires back in to the tails left connected to the controller. Whoever does it will need to open the controller to be able to get to said tales to solder and they will all need heat shrinking.

A link to the products. I suspect it may be a gear less high speed direct drive hub which will struggle on inclines at 36v. For commuting a geared 250/350 hub 3- 4kg in weight will offer a relaxed ride and with a decent celled battery last a good few years. 270 - 300 rpm wound hub will offer...

I was going to suggest the 10.4a 4P with Samsung 26H(2600MAH) cells from Elifeshop for £185, however the one d8veh linked to is 5P 10a (2000mah) cells. Though maybe crappier China cell they do provide a slightly better discharge rate.

Tongsheng TSDZ2 seems to be the only after market TS kit available.

For cassette removal I looked in my old tool box, found and now use an old oil filter chain remover. It has a hex head so can use a spanner on it for leverage.

How far and how fast do you want to ride and the terrain how hilly is it.

I use m395/6 & m446/7 they are very good with resin/organic pads at least on my bikes, I tried sintered but found the performance rubbish. Resin's only last me about 1000 miles and less on the mtb so I buy Chinese cheapies at about £1.06 a pair.

Be careful that cell strings don't get out of balance at 41.5v, every so often you should give a full voltage charge to ensure they are all behaving.

But they want profit so it pays them to buy even cheaper cells in bulk like the 22/26 F or H. For most punters they see a sub £200 battery with Samsung cells even now quite a few at about £165- £180 and are enticed by the price and the knowledge of Samsung inside and that is all they look for...

I haven't seen MJ1's listed for cells in lower cost batteries. Most of the ones sub £200 - 300 all appear to use 22/26F or the marginally better 26H. The higher mah cells like 32E,33G & F1L are pushing the price nearer £300 but you are still only getting low amp (5 - 6.5a) rated cells albeit...

For a flat commute on road rear hub motor, not many 250w kits about however Woosh bikes sell a 48v 250w rear kit if you don't mind a freewheel for gears. Other wise a lot of kits are 350w. These from Elifeshop on Ebay are very good value all have the nice KT controller kits and sensored hubs...
