Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

we keep spare tyres but I must say, 26 x 3 (or 72-559) tyres are difficult to find. I only found one other supplier on ebay so far: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/152288937417 There are more in 60-559 and of course 100-559. Will look into other widths.

Now JC is coming off the fence. Which of you agrees with his brexit politics?

I think you'd better off with the BBS - torque sensor is no match for a simple twist and go throttle.

I keep the demo bike at 20psi for riding around the shop. You can go as low as 12psi. The ride is very comfortable at low pressure.

they should but if you can wait a bit, I'll try them out and let you know in a week or two.

Review Woosh Rio MTB Review/Initial Impressions

the charging port is not in the middle of the rubber cover! it easy to mis-align the rubber boot to the well that you see here: I usually line up the top edge of the rubber boot to the hole before pressing it in:

no. they are 3 small transistors buried inside the motor core. They are usually killed through problems outside the motor. I may change the SWX02 on the Rio to sensorless in the future. Sensored motors are slightly quieter.

Command + conquer: torque, light, silent hub motor?

we supply the appropriate pedal sensor for your bike. You can select right side PAS, left side PAS or octalink/isis/hollowtech if you have one of them.

I would suggest you use a Bafang BBS kit, it's more efficient at low speed. The XD motor can of course be locked into low speed only but it's still not as flexible as selecting a low gear on your trike.

you can put some grease in the cable channel to stop the water getting in. The motor is usually the most robust item on a bike, unfortunately, Hall sensors can die for a number of reasons, most of them are accidental, and nobody can do anything about that. We can replace the Hall sensors but...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I believe the issue is down to brexit being portrayed as patriotic, by deduction, remain isn't. Patriotism is a bigger issue when you carry a membership card and pay annual subscription.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

How do you think the government should proceed with the issue of brexit? The dark blue is tory voters, the light blue is all GB. 69% of them agree with current strategy, hard brexit. Only 19% of them want soft brexit. The electorate at large is very different of course, but they don't put their...

Command + conquer: torque, light, silent hub motor?

The drawing said 140mm, I had no problem fitting them on bikes with 135mm rear drop out. May have to squeeze the rear triangle a little bit to drop the rear wheel in, but it's really no effort.

Hello Daffy, the £499 woosh XF08C kit is nearly there but not quite. You get cassette fitting for your 10-speed cassette, enough instant power from the throttle for most situation. failings: It's not 2.5kg, it's 3kg motor. No torque sensor, you will need to buy it separately. I still haven't...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

if you are a remainer, do not cling to JC. He says many things but he is foremost a career politician (ie says one thing to get vote but when in power, does something else not quite like what was promised). If he becomes PM, he's not going to do anything different to TM. Your only hope is for...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I did warn you lot that JC is a brexiter, perhaps not quite a hard brexiter but he's a eurosceptic all his career. A recent poll (last month) suggested that as much as 70% of conservative membership want a hard brexit, I suspect that percentage among the labour membership is similar. They are...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Both tories and labour cannot bring themselves to concede that hard brexit will cause real long term economic setback. they will continue to hope in vain for better economic news. How can there be any better news when the UK stated brexit policy is to lose the current stability before the next...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

JC did get millions of protest votes from students. indebted young graduates and austeirity victims. His recent 'clarification' on student loans may lose him a fair few of them. The problem is JC still suffers from the credibility gap. If I were Richard Branson, I'd fund Chuka to set up a remain...

How to make a lightweight battery

no, but I already have Samsung cells in the workshop. I was looking for ways to make a kit for the Brompton but not interested enough to start anything. I am only beginning to get really interested since reading your thread on the YTW06 motor. I
