    That's Cheating!

    Cranks or grandfathers? .

    That's Cheating!

I guess somewhere between radar sensing braking and electric boot lids. When they finally appear on our streets, self drive cars like the Googlemobile will be the top of the cheating league until crewless airliners arrive. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

To me that's a wonderful technological advance, missiles with homing instinct. .

    That's Cheating!

I suppose you have those new fangled horn buttons too, can't be bothered to squeeze a rubber bulb! .

    That's Cheating!

But in transport terms the really bad cheater is the person whose car has automatic transmission! That really is unforgiveable, the height of laziness. Though electric window winders come close. .

Not sure, that was a heavy metal band in the 1990s. There's pissed or piste as alternatives. .

Of course some would say my post above is aist, since I only quoted words beginning with "a". So I'd better balance those three with Zeitgeist, Zitherist and Zoologist. ;) . .

"Sorry, he has a problem with his eyes!" says the passenger.

The addition of "ist" to a word is confusing and often wrong anyway. Does an accordionist hate accordians? Does an accupuncturist hate accupuncture? Does an accompanist hate accompanying? Of course not, they like those things, so presumably a racist likes anything to do with race? Making...

    That's Cheating!

To understand you have to stand in the accuser's shoes. From their point of view they see someone pedalling, then perceive a motor driving. They know nothing about relative motor powers or pedal control to apply power, what they see or believe is apparently someone being driven along by a...

Is it worth spending the extra

A larger battery can sometimes help with current delivery, but with quality batteries like those Bosch ones and the well managed power unit you probably wouldn't notice any difference. .

Is it worth spending the extra

Same power unit and the first one will manage that journey just as well. That small battery difference will make hardly any difference to performance. If the bike suits you might as well save the €500. .

"Sorry, he has a problem with his eyes!" says the passenger.

It tends to be the opposite. In London where well under half the population are white British born, there's hardly any racism. But as I've posted previously, in one Welsh town of 40,000 people, many took to the streets in a march to protest about being overwhelmed with immigrants. A check...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

A very common situation. I took over as manager of a depot of a very old fashioned company in 1974 when four employees were getting close to the 65 retirement age. I totally changed the way that was run to greatly improve all working conditions and reduce the hours, but it was too late for...

You save even more, since you don't have to put aside so much for a pension! :D .

    And yet another near miss..

Why I insist a mirror is essential for cycling safety, this to avoid vehicles cutting across to left turn being it's most effective use. E-biking's often greater speed increases the risk of this happening, car drivers caught out through not expecting such a fast approach by a bike. .

And therein is the trap. Spending more on healthcare results in people living longer, raising the pensions bill too. Both need to be budgeted in parallel. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Fits with 3% inflation being forecast for next year. It'll seem massive to the many relying on savings for income with little chance of earning any compensating interest. If it runs on for two or more years it will become serious and lead to an increased burden on the social support budget. .

On our Nature Reserve website we have photos and IDs of all the identified species of Fauna, Flora and Fungi. In the Vertebrates section of the Fauna the species below is entered as Male Hominid, Homo sapiens, with a note that we'd like to see this variant eliminated from the reserve:

On a serious note, our Metropolitan Police Z division do co-operate with us when our nature reserve gets similarly invaded by quad bikers, so they can help if asked. .

I asked them nicely, but they didn't listen.

Since you know who they are, involve the police to get them an official warning. They are breaking a very old law that prevents any motor vehicle leaving the road more than a short distance without the landowners permission. Without that permission they are also liable to a civil action...
