    Bosch climbing speed

let's remind ourselves that the throttle does not improve the climbing ability of the bike. You can't ride uphill as fast on throttle as you can on pedal assist. it's there to help people who can't pedal well enough.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the BBC give her 24 hours a day coverage under the guise of 'government in action' while the tories press brand Mr Corbyn 'IRA supporter' and 'terror apologist'. The result is that Labour is seen as doing nothing while the country is in crisis. I personally find Andy Burnham could have done...

    Bosch climbing speed

lohr500, you don't need the throttle but some of my customers need the rack to carry their oxygen bottle. Some have had recent heart, knee or hip operations. They still want to enjoy riding their bikes, the throttle is the equalizer.

    Oxygen S Cross E-Bike!

they are expensive in the UK. for example: http://dillengerelectricbikes.co.uk/spares/brakes/hydraulic-e-brake-sets/tektro-dorado-hd-e710-180mm-hydraulic-brake-set.html the cheapest solution is to change only the front brakes to hydraulic with a cheap Shimano Alivio front brake for £15 from CRC...

    Bosch climbing speed

no, bikes with throttle are easier to ride uphill. The Woosh Santana CD and Krieger are like that, you don't have to pedal if your legs are tired and they can still climb pretty steep hills (up to 15%) on throttle alone, albeit slowly. The Zephyr is supplied with 12.5AH battery, that's about...

Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

four people tried out the Rio MTB today. Two tried for top speed in the back streets around our shop. Top speed for a young man was 24mph, his dad wasn't bad, 22mph.

you can't predict how people will ride your bikes, that's the problem. sensored brakes are a better solution.

810 and ku65 controller - PAS pedelec question

shouldn't they add a sink resistor to the circuit diagram? if there is no load on the output of the low pass filter, the capacitor will charge up until it reaches Vcc.

I only use sensored brakes, you can continue to pedal while using the brakes to control the speed. Without sensors, you have to stop pedaling to cut out the motor.

you should still prefer hydraulic brakes with built in sensor because of the overrun of the pedal assist system.

    Bbsxx gear change sensor

there is a little pressure put on the innercable for movement detection. The sensor adds a tiny but still measurable 'slack' in the gear shift cable. If you think that half a millimeter out of true is all it takes to ruin your IGH, you don't want any slack in the line.

810 and ku65 controller - PAS pedelec question

if you are going to do a project using the arduino with the 810 LED panel, I'd be interested in reading more about it. I had in my bucket some similar idea of connecting one of the analog inputs to one of the FETs to act as current sensor to log battery usage.

you see? everyone can make the occasional spelling/grammatical mistakes. BTW, I like 'toeing' better.

I really can't see why OG and oldtom should have a go at spelling mistakes. It's not as if they never make some.

    Bbsxx gear change sensor

brake sensor works only one way, when you squeeze the lever. Gear sensor works both ways, when the inner cable moves.

    Bosch climbing speed

Bosch bikes don't have throttle, most Chinese crank drive bikes do, with the latter, you pedal as much (or as little) as you like. The benefit of gearing is still the same. This is my best selling CD bike: http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?santana-cd

    Bosch climbing speed

the mechanical output is less than that, because of electrical to mechanical conversion loss. If the motor is crawling up a steep hill, the efficiency of a hub motor can drop below 50%, most of your battery's output will be converted to heat. With a crank drive, you can select the right gear to...

810 and ku65 controller - PAS pedelec question

if you make a low pass filter to convert a PWM to a voltage, the output depends on the R and C values of your filter. It will take a lot of guesswork to find the appropriate values for R and C. You can use one of the analog inputs to measure the throttle voltage (by connecting your PWM output...
